I’ve given Yavapai Café multiple chances over the years, but unfortunately, the service continues to disappoint. During my most recent visit, in the middle of the busy season, there was only one staff member working. That’s simply not enough to handle the volume of customers, especially at such a popular location in the Grand Canyon.
We waited over 30 minutes just to receive our coffee, and by the time it was ready, our food had already gone cold. This isn’t a one-time fluke either, it’s been a consistent issue every time I return. It’s clear that management isn’t adjusting staffing levels to meet demand, which is frustrating when you’re paying park prices and just trying to...
Read moreExtremely long waits at this cafe. There were only two people ahead of me and took about 30 minutes to get two coffees. There is only one espresso machine and they make one drink at a time so it takes forever. Also doesn’t seem like the employees really care, even though there’s a very long line, they’re chatting with each other and taking forever to restock things. They also don’t seem to know how to make the Starbucks drinks they’re serving. Read moreService was not great! They, 3 employees behind the counter, seemed more concerned about restocking and resupplying, than waiting on customer. Somewhat scatterbrained! Not clear, as to where the line begins and who is waiting for orders. Had to be asked twice for what I wanted. Messed up order for iced chai latte, received it hot and they were going to just put ice in another cup and pour it in! No! I don’t want a watered down! They do serve Starbucks coffee, but they need to take some Starbucks lessons from some real baristas! Get it together...
