I was visiting family in Framingham and went to Andina for a cappuccino. I’m an espresso lover and really know how a cappuccino or latte is done. The baristas here are very friendly but they have no clue on how to make an espresso beverage. When ordered the cappuccino they basically boiled the milk and poured over the espresso shots. So much so that I burned my tongue on first sip. The cup was so heavy! (Again, not a cappuccino) and it tasted like burned. I went back and asked them to make me another one and it came back the same. I gave up and went to another coffee shop in the area. Moral of story: they need to be trained on how to make these drinks. A barista should know how a cappuccino and latte should be made. The temperature of the milk, the amount of foam/and milk. A cappuccino is not simply espresso shots with burned/ boiled milk. Now, I must say that the empanadas were delicious ! Would go back for them, but wouldn’t order...
Read moreStopped in for a coffee and something to eat, very pleasant ambiance. Would love to sit and eat there, maybe do a little work. I got the quiche Lorraine and an oat milk latter for $13. The quiche was very good, well seasoned and tons of bacon and onion. Only recommendation is that the recipe be modified to include less cheese - the which lost its shape because there was so much cheese melting out of it after being reheated (good cheese though so don’t get rid of it!). The latte was lacking the oat milk - I’m not sure what happened. It may have been rung in incorrectly or something, but I’ve attached a pic and usually lattes are an espresso shot and milk - resulting in a very milky drink. This looked like black coffee. It was good black coffee though so I’m inclined to believe it was just a mistake! I will go back definitely - this place has lots...
Read moreWe went to Andina's opening day yesterday, top line: good food, coffee, and vibes!
It is great to have a nearby cafe, this is a second location of Saxonville Mills and their menu seems to be identical. They had all the great pastries, empanadas, and more from Saxonville.
We got iced lattes due to the unseasonably warm weather and they were very delicious. I also tried a blueberry danish and my partner a palmier.
We will certainly be going back, probably many times. Give it a try if...
