My family, friends, and myself have been visiting BWW for years at multiple locations in the area. Though this one particular visit does not represent the chain as a whole, unfortunately, it speaks volumes for this location and itâs staff.
Myself and my elderly father entered the restaurant and were greeted by a young man whose name-tag read âTroy :).â He asked if it would just be the two of us and if weâd like to sit at the bar. Knowing my father struggles with high-seated chairs at his age, we asked for a low table or booth. It was clear that Troy was unhappy with our preference because he let out an audible groan as he turned to lead us into the dining area. Not certain how to react, we followed Troy and stood with him amongst 4 empty tables that he explained were âreserved for any larger groups.â My father pointed out up to 3 booths that were empty but Troy refused to seat us because they hadnât been cleaned and apparently werenât going to be cleaned for some time. After about 15 seconds of standing in silence, looking out into the sea tables with no resolution offered, we decided to put Troy out of his misery and just have a seat at the bar.
They were clearly understaffed and struggling to deal with the Thursday night traffic. The few waiters and waitresses frantically darted from table to table, even in the bar area. While we waited, we figured weâd watch the Blackhawks game but strangely, we were met with literally every other active NHL game aside from the hometown teams.
We were ready to dismiss this visit as just a âbad nightâ when Troy made his return. After a sizable amount of time had passed since placing our order, I noticed Troy at the table across from us. He was standing there with our food, confused, as he tried to flag down our waitress (I forget her name but she was excellent and did the best she could given the situation). She pointed to our table and Troy connected the dots. He placed my tray down and began confirming my order, but then suddenly dropped my fatherâs order onto the table and exclaimed âooh hot!â The tray nearly fell into my fatherâs lap but none of this seemed to be of any concern to Troy. He did not apologize, he did not warn us of the apparently scorching hot tray, instead Troy touched his finger to his lips and leisurely continued on his way. I shared a troubled look with my dad. The tray was still spinning from when Troy had dropped it. Once it had stopped, being careful not to touch the allegedly burning hot pan, we promptly ate our meals and left.
We certainly hope this was isolated to this particular night and/or this particular individual but itâs safe to say, we will choose to dine at other nearby BWW locations from this point forward.
Upon entering, we were made to feel as a burden to the staff. The lack of overall awareness on how to treat a guest became...
Read moreMy daughter was in visiting me from Indiana, and after 7 hrs of Christmas shopping we decided to stop in at the Frankfort Buffalo Wild Wings for a beer and a buffalo wrap befor calling it a day !!! Upon arriving,it was about 10 pm on a Saturday night... we were seated in a booth, and given 1 menu between the two of us from the hostess. Our waitress comes over and lays down one beverage napkin, as she takes our drink order... my daughter orders a Blue Moon, I, a Coors light draft. Upon arriving to yhe table my daughters orange in her beer was drenched in cherry juice. ( to lazy to cut a fresh orange,I guess) turning her $7.00 beer pink. When our wraps came our french fries, were covered in black pepper. What resturant puts black pepper on your fries ? I had to trade fries with my daughter, because I have diverticulitis and can't eat the black pepper.. Hers had alot less than mine did, and I was able to wipe it off with my fingers. I , myself ,ordered a second beer, I got a huff and puff from the waitress.Probably because she was ready to get her 2 tables closed out and be able to leave early on a Saturday night. At that point, needless to say, I took my time, and enjoyed my conversations and my beer. I closed out my tab at 11:16 ( resturant closes at midnight) I gave the waitress a $100 bill, she came back , slapped $56.00 on the table with no receipt. Well, I wanted a receipt, more huffing and puffing, and she slams it down the table. As I wonder about her math skills , she then walks over and slams .50 on my table and a dirty dish towel ,inwhich she left on our table as I was finishing up my beer. Its been a very long time, since I have been treated so disrespectful by a server in a resturant. I raised my daughters in the resturant and bar business, I know your attitude and personality go along way in your tips and every table should be treated with respect. Because of this employee, I will not be frequenting BWW in Frankfort. Her who attitude toward customers sucks! According to my receipt, there was only 1 guest also.. boy.. that must be why I only needed one beverage napkin, right Annmarie ? Also here the msth Annmarie $100-$43.83 leaves $56.15 not $56.50 I'm sure your register...
Read moreI came here tonight to grab a quick drink and a bit to eat. To say the least the experience was awful! When I received my beer I had 2 ounces of foam, when I asked Thomas our server to ask for less foam, I watched as the bartender shook her head and rolled her eyes. I received another beer the same way. I ask Thomas to speak to the manager, Abby informs me, they can not give a full glass of beer because its company policy. They apparently have someone that comes in and weighs the kegs every week to ensure the bartenders are not giving away free drinks. I own a bar, I don't need to be at my establishment to watch over my employees, nor do I need to count bottles or weigh the keg. I hire good people that have worked for me for 20 years. With that said, I did not appreciate the dirty looks I received from the bartender, nor did I appreciate Thomas asking my husband and I if we were ready for the check, when we clearly weren't finished with our meal. We will never come back to this establishment again!!!! Thank you for making us feel very...
