It angers me to see staff look at customers and shake their heads. I’m sitting here observing the morning staff bring carts out as they prepare to open the store. There is a lady with a child in a cart waiting for the store to open, which is in about 5 minutes. The staff member did not great the woman, instead she gives her a look of disgust and shakes her head as in disbelief that she’s at the store so early. Note, the store is scheduled to open in five minutes. Another lady approaches the store 2 minutes prior to opening. Neither employee greets the customer or lets her know that they will be opening shortly. Since the door was partially open, she walked in. I’m not sure what was said to her, but she ended up coming out and waiting in the vestibule until the store officially opened. Customer service is so important. People remember how you make them feel. I felt some kind of way watching, and I could tell the mom with the toddler felt some kind of way also. Aldi staff members need training in the area of customer service and regulating their emotions. Even if a staff member is overwhelmed, it should not be noticeable to...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Frankfort's Aldi's in at least a year. Usually I use Matteson's; it's a little closer and usually on the way to another chore. However, Matteson has a city tax on top of Cook County taxes, (and red light cameras at just about every light!!) so I've decided to AVOID MATTESON as much as possible.
Aldi's is always consistently well-staffed, well-stocked and a GREAT value. No exception today. They are expanding their gluten free selections and still offering a reasonable price for everything. My only disappointment was no unsweetened tea available in any brand. I'm going to excuse them for this, since it's Frankfort's first slip up.
I am going to give them a big HURRAH! for the quality of their fresh produce. Not a rotten fruit to be smelled. A very nice change from every other store...
Read moreI usually love this Aldi, but yesterday Jan 15th around 7 pm a woman working at Aldi that was a brunette, hair down, middle aged with black sleeves under her Aldi shirt and no name tag was very rude to me when I simply looked at her to see if she would come to the checkout line because she already wasn’t attending to the line when there was multiple customers waiting to be checked out and she very aggressively said “to put my stuff on the belt” and when I asked her to repeat what she said because I couldn’t hear her she screamed it at me in a louder and even more aggressive tone so I then grabbed my stuff and went to the self check out line because she made me feel unwelcome in the store. ALDIs employees usually are not this rude. I don’t know what her problem...
