Wife and daughter went to eat here. There was miscommunication as the waitress badgered my wife into ordering more food for my daughter, who only wanted fries. Waitress assumed my wife still wanted pancakes, which is an honest mistake. When the server brought out syrup was when the mistake became apparent. Manager got involved, my wife told them to cancel the order, and they demanded she pay, since she ordered the food. A: she did not. B: she had no intention of eating it after being badgered and then harangued into paying for food she no longer wanted. She told them she would for sure pay for the drinks, but was still having the manager demand she pay. Having worked in restaurants for 25 years, this is unacceptable. For the cost of an order of pancakes and chicken nuggets, they have lost customers-my family and anyone who will listen to me. Again, as a restaurant employee for 25 years, folks in my life tend to take my advice on restaurants. Don't even know how to rate the food as none was eaten and she didn't care to bring it home. Not great, reheating fries...
Read moreAlways good good, the staff knows us for years. We had a new to us server this time. She was not very pleasant and would cut u off when talking and acted like she had better things to do and we where wasting her time each time she talked to us. Then she got snarky w my mother when she repeated something my father said. Just was not happy w this server and we always have a great experience but this once. The rest of the staff always comes over to say hi because we have been coming for yrs. Might want to have this server take some customer service training or is in the wrong line of work. I have been custom service and worked in restaurants/bars for yrs and I have a great understanding and appreciation for what the staff is has to deal with. But, if u make a living on how you approach people and ur personality. You might want to either put on a fake face do to personal or apologize when u realize u might have approached us wrong. You would get a better tip when u correct...
Read moreUsually love Lumes but not this location. I took my nephew to lunch. He had chicken strips w/fries. I asked for Crepe Florentine (which used to be on the menu). We both had a soda. Our bill was over $50. I knew there would be an upcharge for the change/crepe insides but certainly not what I got charged. It was almost $30 for those crepes. Instead of switching out several ingredients on their Mediterranean crepe special for $15.99, they charged me $11 for just the actual crepes and then ala carted everything else including the eggs inside! The lady kept saying I added so much. Eggs, spinach and bacon? AND they charged each ingredient by 3 because they gave me 3 crepes (which I didn't ask for). Not cool. In this day when money is tight and customers can choose where to go, it's sad that this Lumes is such a rip off. Poor customer...
