Bob Evans — Restaurant in Franklin Township

Our food tasted okay and our service from the waitress was good n polite not happy that when I got there and the hostess was about to see us only half of our party was there and I said we'll be having a total of eight people that being one baby one toddler one child the rest adults and told her how many child menus that I needed and she said all I can't see you until the whole party gets here so we had to sit in front of the cold door until one more my party got there and an older staff member say ing that we were all waiting and that a couple more people was waiting behind us said please go ahead and see these people while we waited on the last three people of our party I was very disappointed and really wanted to go somewhere else had it not been for not a lot of places to go in our area this was the Waynesburg Pennsylvania Bob Evans and the type of food that we wanted I would have went somewhere else had I had another choice but the other people in my party wanted to go there so I stayed as I said I'm not unhappy with getting the food that we got and the waitress we got but upon arriving that's not a good way to start your customers off and yes I have been in the food industry many years many times and I would love for somebody to come ahead of time and get me prepared when there's a large party coming instead of me trying to rush and gather everybody together at one time it would be much easier but this is their policy not sure if this is every Bob Evans policy or not...

The food is always burnt anymore so they flip the good side towards you to disguise that thinking it's ok to serve black charred food , the waitresses don't know the menu you never get what you order anymore. To add the huge wait times between ordering and getting your food is insane. We almost walked out on our last visit 55 mins for a table of 2 people ordering breakfast goods was just ridiculous. This used to be a good place to eat we eat here maybe 4 times a month and 2 of those times the music was blasting or the waitresses were behind the counter screaming back and forth at each other, to where you can't even hear yourself think. It's hit or miss with the service and food some days are better than others. Being from a rural area it's our only sit down restaurant unless we wanna drive down 79 so we are forced to deal with it. If another sit down were to come thru this town I would guarantee that this Bob Evans would lose much of it's business , because it is the only family friendly place within 25 miles patrons are forced to deal with this service. They need management to take control of that place it's a matter of teaching employees...

Never usually have any complaints about this Waynesburg restraunt, but I walked in at 8 pm and tonights cooking shift had little to be desired, unfortunately the place was out of food, such as french fries, steak, and the lettuce was recalled!!! My 9 dollar burger wasnt prepared as ordered, recieved it on sopping soggy bun, didnt get my tomato or pickle, had to ask for 2 new burger buns for the mushy train wreck AND ask for the pickles only to recieve 3 nickle sized pieces of cucumber, I certainly wasnt going to ask for the missing tomato!! The only good experience was that the wait staff was courteous and very friendly! Ive never had this issue before at this restraunt, and I realize it was nearing closing time, but im a paying customer and ordered a crappy frikkin cheese burger, not a marinated...
