I am super disappointed by the way we were treated by some of the staff. I've been coming here since I was a kid and have never had an altercation with staff. I was there Wednesday 8/2/23 with my kids and another mother with two small kids. We stayed in the pool until closing since we were there a couple weeks back and got rained out we wanted to make the most of our day. Once we were told to get out of the pool we went right to our stuff and started packing up. As we were packing up an employee was standing right next to us motioning at us to hurry up. We went as fast as we could. We were then lead into the locker rooms by another rude older man. We were in the lockers room for maybe 8 minutes when an older women came through telling us, "it's 6:17, we close at 6 and have been extremely patient ". We informed her we had just gotten back there and were doing our best to get ourselves and in total five small children together. She continued to yell at us and that she won't deal with us anymore we could talk to her manager. She then went outfront and started talking about us to the other employess infront of my two teenage sons who were waiting for us. We were done by 6:22 and exited the locker room. Everyone was staring when we came out making our children uncomfortable. I haven't been yelled at like that since I was a child. I understand it's closing time they want to go home, but why not kick everyone out the pool 15 minutes before closing time. We were in a pool with no way to tell time and once we were told to get out we did.
Besides the rude employees my family loves Knoebels and the Crystal Pool. You can't beat the price and it's normally a clean...
Read moreNever been a fan of public pools, as they really do skeeze me out, all except this one! This one has been one of my favorites since I was a kid! Crisp, clean, cool water & just an all around fun time! We'll go in just being us & than wind up with a group of kids (young & old) playing ball with us. The staff, everytime we go are so very helpful & nice! Love the fact they offer free lockers!
The only thing I have to say: it's not a complaint but more so constructive criticism - I do believe there should be a family changing room section specifically for people with disabilities. If a Parent is there with their child (ex: Mother with son or Father with daughter) you're not able to bring them in the changing room/locker room with you. It's understandable, which is why I'm only writing it as a friendly suggestion; however some are worse off than others and that few minutes of separation could wind up turning into a problem (whether they wander off alone, with a stranger... There's many different scenarios.)
It's great that they have a store for nearly everything you'll want/need for pool time fun- sunscreen, sunglasses,...
Read moreAs much as I absolutely adore the pool here there are a few things I feel could be addressed. One being the locker rooms - People do not pay attention to the feet inside the changing stalls and will open up the curtain when you're changing. I feel like they need actual doors with a slide lock like in the bathrooms. Two being the actual floor of the pool. There have been several times where I've stepped on broken hunks of the bottom of the pool, and it's not pleasant. That really should be fixed. Other than those two things, the pool is great. The water is clear, there's a nice area for small kids, and the main pool gradually gets deeper. There is a section for diving and a neat stone fountain in the center. There are water slides and a small pool shop right next to the pool. They provide locker use at...
