I have been eating here for a long time. The food is usually really good and normally they have great staff. Today we had a horrible experience to the point of filing an official ADA Americans with Disabilities Act complaint today by online form and mail. I’ve never had an issue in all of my years of owning a service animal and we travel everywhere. I’ve never written a bad review before about a restaurant. My grandma was meeting us for dinner at 4:45 here and she got there first so she had a table ready for us. I walk in with my husband, service dog and home health nurse and we told them that grandma is already at a table waiting for us. They were very rude. They weren’t very busy. They immediately said no we have to move you. They insisted that we sit in a different side of the restaurant away from everyone isolated in the corner because a customer might have a fear of dogs. I requested a booth because I have seizures and they refused to let me sit anywhere near any other customers. They rudely forced us to a separate table. We felt rushed in and out and every interaction was rude. I’ve recommended to many people to come here in my lifetime. I know that they might’ve had a bad experience with someone else’s dog. It can happen but they were so rude about it and to my family when I can’t control that I have a disability. It’s like taking away a wheelchair from someone in order to be normal. Everyone that was with us this trip decided that we won’t be going back. They have issues with people with disabilities and they will isolate you. The ADA law states “Allergies and fear of dogs are not valid reasons for denying access or refusing service to people using service animals.” and “ People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons, treated less favorably than other patrons, or charged fees that are not charged to other patrons without animals. “ This being said hopefully the complaint and appropriate action will be taken to make sure that other folks with disabilities won’t be singled out too. On top of that, the food was old. It was not worth the trouble.

Read moreI am sorry to give this review but I felt compelled to say that their buffet is absolutely unacceptable. I would suggest not wasting your money on a meal there. I am a local resident of Franklin of 27 yearsl and have been going to Asian King for several years since they first opened here in Franklin and have always enjoyed their food. But when COVID hit in 2020 I quit going to dine out altogether. When Asian King first opened they had wonderfully fresh buffet selections including many selections with meat and various vegetables. Decided to go this evening and do a take-out after such a long time not doing that. What a truly disappointment. Now they mainly have fried selections. The pot stickers were horrible, overcooked and they didn't even resemble pot-stickers. I went this evening to get a takeout and was so disappointed at the quality of food offered that I even asked if there was a change in ownership. I am nowvery reluctant to ever going back again. The quality has really gone downhill tremendously since they first opened which is really sad because I loved dining there or picking up take-out. It's really ashame. I don't normally do restaurant reviews online but I felt the need to alert future potential customers. We sat there a bit and decided that the staff was not coming back and we should just go get our food. It has been best said by a previous reviewer, “Quantity over quality”. If you have been hiking in the woods for a month, then this is your place. If you are one of those most hated big city folk craving some Chinese food like you have back home, skip it. I did visit on a busy Friday night and the bus load of school kids were better mannered than the staff. Not that the staff was rude, they were just doing things in such a manner that you would think there were no paying customers in the building. Things like yelling at other staff across the dining area, sitting customers with a loud, “You sit here!” Answering personal calls while putting out fresh food.
