This looks like a typical strip mall Chinese joint. Rest assured, it is not. This is special Chinese food. We had a party of 6 and all of us said the food was great. The hot and sour soup was lauded for being real soup, with some veggies, not hot water with spices. The Meifun was enjoyed, separate strands, not stuck together in clumps. The garlic chicken was enjoyed. I am a vegan and I liked the homestyle tofu made with very creamy but firm tofu. The sauce was perfect and different than the brown sauce that was served with a veggie dish. I gave the restaurant a 3 star, instead of 4, because I ordered broccoli and pea pod and just got broccoli and asked for the meifun vegan and it came with eggs. Minor and still delicious errors. Ordered a pu pu platter for 2 substituting the chicken teriyaki and boneless ribs (heard they weren’t the best there) for more crab rangoon and beef teriyaki, pork fried rice and pan fried dumplings. I placed the order online and for pickup at a certain time. I showed up right at that time and the kid at the register couldn’t find my order. Lady from out back said she made it already and he must given someone the wrong order. She said she’d remake it. 10 minutes later it was done. As I walked to my car I could smell something was burnt. We got 2 extra crab rangoon and one extra teriyaki stick. Those substitutions cost $2.00 each! The rice was tiny and maybe 1 1/2 servings and the dumpling were a little burnt. My husband and I just moved to the area and have tried a few other chinese restaurants in the area as well. This place was the best. The pork lo mein was flavorful and did not skip out on the veggies or pork. The egg roll was hot and crispy and actually had more of a filling than just cabbage. He got the general tso chicken and he liked it a lot. I got the sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was phenomenal, but the breading on the chicken was thicker and more pancake like than I expected/preferred.
