The food here at Taco Inc. is incredible. If you are looking for an authentic experience & authentic Mexican food here in NWPA, this is the place to go. I haven’t had authentic Mexican food anywhere around here, at least until you reach the Pittsburgh area. Having lived out west for over 6 years I can confidently say this is the most accurate representation of western Mexican cuisine.
The service has always been 10/10. I have eaten here about 6 times already and every single time the service has been consistent. Drinks are refilled quickly, even the complimentary chips get refilled which is something you don’t see at every Mexican restaurant. Very friendly staff that is knowledgeable of their menu.
Speaking of the menu, it is large. It will definitely be overwhelming for someone who doesn’t really know what they’re looking for. However it is categorized and each item has a description of what you be getting.
The food is SO good. Having been here 6 times now I have tried to order something different every time and I have been more than pleased with everything I’ve ordered so far. My top favorites are the beef chimichanga dinner, the tamales, and the house special. As for dessert, the flan is great. It is your typical Mexican flan. My only complaint with the flan is that a couple times that I have ordered it, they put whipped cream and sprinkles on it which isn’t what I expect when ordering flan. But even with those additional toppings, the flavor is really good.
Overall I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who is reading this review. You won’t be...
Read moreCareful if you go with more than 4 people. They will charge you a 25% service charge WITHOUT telling you. They will sneak it into your bill (but it won't be listed as a service charge, it will say "custom item"). They will also charge you a 3% service charge on some of the foods claiming there is a cash price and a credit card price WITHOUT informing you beforehand (it is difficult to spot because not every item has this difference in price, and when they do charge it they hide it in the line item so it won't be its own line item. Very sneaky and difficult to spot). Be very careful when paying, they will charge different prices than what is on the menu. As a result we penalized the waiter as well for being complicit in the scheme as he was aware of the various hidden charges but did not inform us until we confronted him. Again, check your bill, because they charge different (higher) prices from what's on the menu.
I informed them that in the state of Pennsylvania they should be disclosing those fees to consumers up front and if they are not disclosing the fees or what they are for, it could be a violation of the PA Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act.
In other words, as long as they do not inform you of all their fees upfront, legally you are entitled to refuse to pay them (as they do not qualify as mandatory or compulsory fees and fall under...
Read moreI will preface this by saying that I rarely write reviews, and it is only when a restaurant or service leaves such an impression that the very thought of them becomes a fondest memory, that I must write. And today I must ☺️
The staff located at the Franklin PA location are truly second to none. Now I can only speak for those in Franklin PA, but it is clear enough to me that the bar has been set, the standards are high, and their smiles would light the dimmest of rooms on the darkest of days.
Attentive is an understatement, and Let it be known, the $2 Kicker in the Margarita is worth every penny! And I don't even drink!
But really, I would go back just for the staff. Now for the big question, the food. Well folks, in order to make food worth tasting at all, there are three things required.
And let's put it this way, those are three reasons why I hope to return many many many many times.
now go, waste no time, and enjoy that which...
