I finally got a chance to try some of the food I've been hearing people rave about for weeks. We got the 3 subs they have and each of the three of us planned to try each one. Before taking my first bite I realized there were mushrooms in all of the subs. I'm moderately allergic, not going to end up in the ER or using epipen, but messes up my stomach etc. So unable to pick all mushrooms from the gyro or steak sub because of the color I didn't get to try those.... Chicken sub- BUT I was able to on the chicken sub... YUM!! I'm super picky with chicken anywhere; it has to be cooked just right, any gristle and my appetite is gone etc. The chicken was oerfect! The flavor is great! I tasted a slight sweet flavor, maybe the peppers mixed in? There is a minor kick, but nothing, even a spicy light weight like me couldn't handle. Gyro and steak subs input from hubby and teen daughter who don't do reviews... "They were good" and "Good". They ate them without complaint or delay so I'm guessing they were pleased. The very nice gentleman behind the counter gave me bbq sauce, ketchup, and hot sauce incase we wanted it on the subs. The subs were great without added sauce. We also chose some of the fried corn... these sweet little puffs of corn goodness are yummy. The atmosphere was very welcoming in this place. The gentleman that waited on us behind the counter was very kind and thoughtful. He legitimately cared and talked to me. My father, who was with us, mentioned about my husband's back injury from work and this guy really wanted to know what happened. He was sincere and seemed concerned and even shared experiences while working on our order. This made me feel like a valued customer, not just someone to rush thru, serve and send on my way. On a Sunday night there was pretty consistent business. We will definitely be going back to try other things and possibly try the steak and gyro subs without mushrooms :)...
Read moreI recently visited this establishment for dinner and had a positive experience. The 21-piece meal for $50 offered excellent value, including 8 servings of mashed potatoes with gravy, 3 coleslaw, and dinner rolls. The chicken was well-seasoned, juicy, and not excessively spicy, contrary to some reviews. The coleslaw was satisfactory but could have used more flavor. The mashed potatoes were enjoyable, while the gravy seemed pre-packaged rather than homemade.
The interior of the restaurant is dated and modest, but the staff is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and diligent. Our 21-piece chicken order was prepared fresh and arrived hot and delicious, unlike some other establishments. The lamb gyros is highly recommended, and the fries are consistently delicious and fresh, never tasting of old grease. It's worth noting that the food here has never had a stale grease flavor, indicating proper maintenance and
I have been a regular customer of Maaz's Door Dash service and initially had a positive experience. However, over time, the quality of the food has significantly declined. The Lamb Gyro, which used to be substantial and satisfying, has become noticeably smaller and is now primarily filled with lettuce but is still the same price. The quality of the food has recently declined, with fries frequently over or undercooked and soggy. The beef Gyro I ordered did not meet my expectations. The patty was bland and the overall quality was unsatisfactory. Given the numerous unpleasant experiences I have had, I will not be placing any further orders unless the quality improves to the standard...

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, my wife ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. However, I wanted to try something else. I ordered a lamb over rice platter and WOW!
I wasn't sure what to expect. Figured it would be a Greek/Mediterranean style and it is similar, but these flavors knocked it out of the park. Sharing with my wife, she didn't want to give my plate back!
There's a lamb or chicken or a mix over rice. I really can't recommend it enough. Amazing in every sense of the word! It's got a little kick to it, I'd say medium level spice. Nothing too bad, but I loved it. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I loved every single bite and just wanted more.
We dined in and the restaurant itself has a nice, calming atmosphere to it. Nice nature pictures on the wall and TV. Very relaxing.
While the chicken was very good, the lamb over rice absolutely stole the show. A perfect mix of meat, veggies, rice, and spice, it was a 10/10 meal. Had a milkshake afterwards which was very good too.
You just know when you walk out of a place smiling that you hit gold? That's what happened here. Maaz's Chicken knocked it out of the park. This is truly an amazing gem in Franklin that you need...
