The food is great. I am an ex-barista and I will say the coffee is impressive for what it is too. The ambience is wonderful, calm and relaxed, and the music is not too loud. My only issue is the customer service. I have visited here twice now because it is the only cafe in Franklin to serve espresso drinks and I do quite enjoy the food. The same lady had been working front counter both times and seemed very disinterested, unfriendly and impatient with me.
My first time visiting, my fiancée and I spend about 5-7 minutes checking out the menu before ordering and asking very reasonable questions. This seemed to irritate her a good deal, I tipped regardless. The second time I ordered within a minute of getting there, I walked up to the counter to view the menu first and got a very haughty “can I help you?” as if I was unwanted company. When she sent our drinks out she seemed very surprised that we gave her a thank you, as if she wasn’t used to hearing it. Which is surprising to me! The gentleman that brought our food out was much more pleasant and friendly, but seemed a little worn out.
Overall I know that many miserable customer service workers are only the result of their community not appreciating them. I would hope that we are all treating our foodservice workers with respect regardless of their bad attitudes.
Thank you for the good...
Read moreAlmost drove right by this little gem on a drive to Kentucky. If you ever find yourself within 20 min of this detour and are looking for breakfast or great coffee trust me and stop here!
I grabbed 3 things on my stop: a breakfast biscuit, a cup of black coffee, and a peanut butter brownie....
The biscuits were made fresh in house and topped with sausage a freshly fried egg and melted cheese. It was delicious.
The coffee was fresh and smooth. You can tell they don't mess with stale beans and they grind fresh as well.
The peanut butter brownie was rich without being overdone and the peanut butter complimented the moist and dense brownie perfectly. The Reese's pieces and small Reese's cups on top were a bonus.
If you are on the fence until now let me help you....
They are fresh and delicious but also fast!!! My sandwich was done incredibly quick.
They are very reasonably priced!! I spent about 9.00 for all 3 items which would have easily been 15 at a Starbucks (but the coffee here...
Read moreI'm not sure any description I give will do justice to this wonderful place. From the moment I stepped in, I felt welcome, relaxed, ready to settle in! I thoroughly enjoyed the Pulled Pork BBQ with the gala apple slaw. My side was a true comfort food delight, Gouda mac & cheese!
I tried the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie iced Latte, and was very sad when I took the last sip & realized there was no more to savor! They have a multitude of options for coffee. Hot, iced, plain, fancy! The choices make it tough to stick to a decision.
After sitting for a while to read, and letting everything settle, I was finally able to give into my desire to try a dessert. Again, so many choices! I chose the brownie cheesecake bite. Then I grabbed a cinnamon muffin for breakfast tomorrow. Will it make to tomorrow though? My will is weak... there's a lot of hours between now & breakfast!
Do your senses & hunger a...
