I recently went to Mooyah for the first time, and I was overall impressed. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed.
I ordered the spicy burger, and it was really good. The patty was cooked perfectly, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The fries were also really good. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
I would definitely recommend Mooyah to anyone looking for a good burger and fries. The prices are reasonable, and the food is consistently good.
However, there were a few things that could be improved. The service was a little slow, and the restaurant was a bit crowded. But overall, I had a positive experience at Mooyah, and I would definitely go back.
Here are some specific details about the food:
The spicy burger was juicy and flavorful. The patty was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were cooked in canola oil, which gave them a light and healthy flavor. The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was quick to bring us our drinks and food, and he was always happy to answer our questions. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the music was playing at a low volume. Overall, I had a positive experience at Mooyah. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I would definitely recommend Mooyah to anyone looking for a good...
Read moreWe live out of state and found this particular MOO-YAH a few years ago. We loved it so much that we try to stop every year as we are traveling for vacation. Tonight, 10/18, we arrived about 8:40pm and were surprised they closed at 9pm on a Saturday night. We go inside and wait for several teenagers to order, separately. I overheard the employee mention multiple times about a tip and that they could add it to their total when paying with a card. Just odd that he seemed to be pushing for tips when they don’t really provide a service. I’ll gladly tip for any actual service someone provides, but ordering from a counter and having to p/u my order from a counter doesn’t get a tip. If they bring my order out, maybe.
Anyway…
When it as our turn to order the employee informed us that they had cleaned the grill and were only selling drinks. Seriously? Your hours state you’re open until 9, but you can’t cook 20 minutes before closing? AND you’re asking for tips to hand someone a cup that they fill up themselves? Come on! If you’re going to use business hours to do closing tasks you should change your hours or alert customers so you don’t waste their time. We won’t be going back.
By the way, since we had such poor service and were hungry for burgers, we went across the street to Shake Shack. Their employees were super friendly, our food was prepared quickly, and was fresh and hot! Great burgers! Our fries were hot and crispy. They definitely earned our business and we...
Read moreOn July 25th, a little after 1:00, I ordered a Turkey Burger, which I’ve had several times before at this Mooyah’s and other Mooyah's. The fries were great. But the turkey burger tasted rancid. I took it to the counter and explained to Allison, who had taken my order, the turkey burger tasted like the oil it was cooked in was old, or the burger was old. I asked if I could get another type of burger instead. She didn’t seem to know what to do. Apparently she hadn’t been trained in how to deal with this. She went in the kitchen area and I saw her talking to a cook and a young man for several minutes. who was apparently the Manager on Duty. Allison came back and took my order for my replacement burger and didn’t charge me. So I was pleased with the results. I returned to my table. However, about 5 minutes later the M.O.D. came to our table with our order number place card and said “you need to go to the register and pay for your burger”. I didn’t understand what he was saying first and said, “what? He repeated it and them walked away. I was totally surprised, but went to the register and politely paid for the replacement burger, which with tax was over $10. I went back and waited over 10 minutes. There were very few, if any other orders in front of me since it wasn’t busy. I then just walked out. No sense in telling the staff there, since they all hadn’t been properly trained to start with. Needless to say, that was the last time I’ll be going to...
