Turkey BLT from Savioli Ravioli: A Symphony of Flavors
From the moment I took my first bite, I knew this Turkey BLT was something special. Each ingredient was thoughtfully chosen and perfectly balanced, creating a sandwich that was nothing short of extraordinary.
White Bread: The foundation of this masterpiece was the soft, slightly sweet white bread. Lightly toasted to perfection, it provided a delightful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the softer ingredients inside.
Turkey: The star of the show was the tender, juicy turkey slices. They were generously layered, adding a hearty, protein-packed element to the sandwich. The turkey was subtly seasoned, allowing its natural flavors to shine through.
Bacon: Crispy, smoky bacon added a savory depth that elevated the entire experience. Each bite was a perfect blend of crunch and flavor, making it impossible to resist.
Lettuce: Fresh, crisp leaf lettuce provided a refreshing crunch and a vibrant green color that made the sandwich visually appealing. It added a lightness that balanced the richer ingredients.
Tomatoes: Juicy, ripe tomatoes were sliced thick, offering a burst of sweetness and acidity. They were dressed with a drizzle of red wine vinegar, which enhanced their natural flavor and added a delightful tang.
Red Wine Vinegar: A subtle drizzle of red wine vinegar over the tomatoes brought out their sweetness and added an extra layer of flavor. It was a small touch, but it made a big difference in the overall taste.
Every ingredient in this Turkey BLT was carefully selected and expertly prepared, resulting in a sandwich that was both delicious and memorable. Savioli Ravioli has truly mastered the art of the Turkey BLT, and I can't wait to go back for another one.
Italian Sub from Savioli Ravioli: A Classic Delight
My buddy opted for the Italian sub, and it was a decision well-made. This sub was a celebration of traditional Italian flavors, each ingredient contributing to a harmonious and satisfying experience.
Semolina Bread: The sub was built on fresh semolina bread, which was soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the delicious fillings. The bread had a slight chewiness and a hint of sweetness that complemented the savory ingredients perfectly.
Ham, Salami, and Provolone Cheese: The trio of ham, salami, and provolone cheese formed the heart of this sub. The ham was tender and slightly sweet, the salami added a spicy kick, and the provolone cheese brought a creamy, tangy note that tied everything together.
Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Onions: Fresh romaine lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and thinly sliced onions added a refreshing crunch and a burst of color. These vegetables balanced the richness of the meats and cheese, making each bite well-rounded.
Oil and Vinegar: The classic dressing of oil and vinegar was the perfect finishing touch. It added a tangy, slightly acidic flavor that enhanced the overall taste and kept the sub from feeling too heavy.
Roasted Red Peppers: For an extra layer of flavor, roasted red peppers were added. They brought a sweet, smoky element that elevated the sub to new heights.
This Italian sub was a testament to Savioli Ravioli's commitment to quality and tradition. Each bite was a delightful journey through classic Italian flavors, and my buddy couldn't stop raving about it.

Read moreFood is great. Customer service not so much. I ordered 2 12 inch sandwiches at 12:00. Lady told me pick up in 15 mins. Got there at 12:10 was gonna order some meatballs if they had. Anyway. Owner asks what my name and order was. Calls out to the girl who makes the sandwiches if they are ready, she said these thay were ordered too mins ago? (they were wrapped and finished being made by the way). I then said, it was actually 10 mins ago as i looked when i called on my phone. I was going to order more with the e tra 5 mins you may have needed to make the sandwiches but now I'm not. Just lost a customer. Former restaurant owner. I won't deal with that. Owner heard, didn't say one word. Also, they are usually a busy deli at lunchtime. Not one customer and obviously no orders...
Read moreI didn't realize how spoiled I was when I lived in the Essex\Bergen\Hudson area for so much of my life until I moved to the food desert that is Sussex County. The restaurant options are limited and what's here is just not all that great. And then a few years ago I found Savioli's and my search for a great, authentic Italian deli came to an end.
I've had most of their different sandwich options but my go-to is "The Sicilian" - you can't go wrong. High quality meats piled on top of savory bread with fresh toppings. Their house made roasted red peppers make anything delicious! I don't get here enough but when I do I know it will be worth the trip a little out of my way.
Also, the owner and staff are always great. Can't recommend this...
