Cafe Bouchee — Restaurant in Franklinton

Happened to be in the area again and decided to try dinner and was impressed. Not only a great spot for lunch... but if you're looking for a great quality dinner after a day of country shopping... Cafe Bouchee has a varied menu each evening with classy offerings and friendly service. I had the filet steak which was perfectly cooked and a generous portion... left very satisfied and stuffed!

Previously... Stopped in for lunch after hearing nothing but good things. And I was not disappointed. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was one of the specials while my friend had the Blue Cheese burger. Both were freshly prepared and very, very tasty! The service was very friendly and as country as could be. She asked if I wanted to add onions and I said I'd try anything once... yep... the onions made all the difference! Great...

Good food I think it was a Sunday lunch menu perhaps as the entrées came with two sides and a side salad. The food taste really good it came out hot it took a little long to come out but they were really busy I guess people after church eating lunch or just lunching out. We also had the brownie and the crème brûlée crème brûlée it was my favorite it was very good. The only reason for the missing star would be that it took a while for someone to bus the table and clean it off so that we can sit down, then once seated It took at least 10 minutes for someone to get our drink order so we just order food at the same time and was hungry. Yum! This is the place to eat in Franklinton. If you want food this good or better, you'll have to drive at least to Covington, and you still might not get it, especially not for this price. The kitchen cooks up Louisiana cuisine with lovingly done twists. I"m an objective reviewer from out of town who does not know the owners. I live in Atlanta and am originally from New Orleans, so I may know good food when I get it. The place is charming, and the staff even more so. ❤️ The desert menu is impressive and tempting.
