What an absolute gem in Fredericktown! The Depot Café completely blew us away. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and our waiter was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and just genuinely great at what he does.

We started with the baked pretzel appetizer — perfectly soft with just the right touch of salt. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Lobster Rice Boat, and after the first bite he literally said "Wow, that's good" out loud. I had the Garlic Chicken Breast meal, and it was so good I didn’t even think to snap a picture until I had already finished my green beans — no regrets!

For dessert, I treated myself to the white chocolate cheesecake. It was very rich, but in the best, most indulgent way. I also had the Lemon Drip martini, and let’s just say it disappeared quickly.

Yes, the prices are a bit higher than other spots around Fredericktown, but honestly? Totally worth it. This place delivers on quality, flavor, and experience — and we’re already planning to...

The food was amazing. The pretzels were the best I've ever had, even compared to Gus's in St. Louis or Hotel Audubon. My mom ordered the garlic chicken and I ordered the railroad porkchops, both were great. I had the ceasar salad and she had the chipotle, cheddar potato soup, both really nice, but Gary brought us a sample of the beer cheese onion soup and that is definitely what we would get next time. 😋 I don't normally even like onions and that was amazing. Atmosphere was a perfect balance to where it would be comfortable if you wanted to grab a burger and beer with friends or cute enough to go for a fancier dinner with a significant other. Our server was really friendly and answered all our questions. It was our first time there, but definitely not the last. Next time, we're hoping to save room to try desert. Also, normally I take better photos, but the food looked soooo good, we went for it before I took...

I wish I could have tried the dessert but I was just too full. We had the special which was tenderloin tips. They were delicious & melted in your mouth just like the waitress promised. The mashed potatoes were just ok in my opinion, but came with a delicious mushroom gravy. The green beans were fine. I got the house salad and thought it was delicious but wish the ranch dressing didn't have so much garlic in it. (This is only because I'm allergic to it.) I also wish I had known it was a garlic ranch, I would have choose another dressing but I'll survive. The staff is very friendly & welcoming and I will definitely go back again. The bread was also a plus, very soft and tasty. Another thing I appreciated is that the butter they serve with the bread is room temp. (I hate when it's cold & hard and tears up the bread when you're trying to spread it.) If you're considering trying the Depot, you should...

I ate here for lunch one afternoon. I had the chicken and shrimp Cajun fettuccine with a glass of Crane Lake wine and lemon water. It was delicious. The best meal I've had in a REALLY long time. The water actually tasted really fresh, the wine was sweet and savory, but a little obvious underaged. It came with a appetizer of your choice of soup, I got the potato soup. I'm a huge potato soup fan and this place gave me new expectations on what potato soup should taste like. I ended my meal with thriple chocolate cheese cake. It was a little dry and the crust felt slightly burnt but overall had great taste. I ate everything on my plates and in my cups and would recommend anyone coming here. I will definitely start coming here more often.
