Without a doubt the worst McDonald’s in NJ history. This place was half decent many years ago. I work overnight shift at a nearby facility and go to this places drive-thru a few times a month and my god I am DONE. First off the two women that work the windows on overnights are horrible. Bad attitude, rude and obnoxious, have no clue how they deal with people daily and haven’t been dragged through the window. Second- overcharges. This goes back to point number one but the woman at window #1 constantly can’t figure out how to handle mobile app payment and I have been double charged multiple times. Back a few days ago I ordered at the window and told her to pay with the code on my app. I have multiple valid credit cards with plenty of balance tied to my McDonald’s app and I have the settings so that when they use my code I get points and it pays for the order. Well, she constantly tells me oh the payment didn’t go through. So since I’m on my midnight break from work I don’t have any credit cards with me so she tells me too bad. So I end up doing a mobile order for the item so they can “get their payment” and I can get my food and leave. So that night I notice two pending charges of $4.25 because as expected she charged me at the window with my code and then the mobile order I was charged again. I thought maybe the extra pending charge would drop off but nope. Fast forward three days both charges posted to my account. So now nobody answers the phone here, McDonald's corporate customer service is laughable, so now I get to spend 20 minutes on the phone with American Express to dispute the charge. This double charge has happened to me MULTIPLE times in the past but only for $1.07 for a soda so I’ve let it slide because I’m not spending 20 minutes on the phone for a dollar but this is it. I’ll start brown bagging it. F this place. The owners should be ashamed, or if it’s a corporate location they should just close the place. Sure would appreciate McDonald’s making things right but since that won’t happen I just won’t spend...
Read moreHad a breakfast today at this place around 10am. Placed my order at the machine and paid for my meal with additional medium cup for the soda. Then the usher/crew told me that their soda machine is down for the day so you get 3 options orange juice, sweet tea or coffee i only drink oj so that's what i chose. I assumed they have a contingency/alternative plan since their soda machine is down so no refillable drinks except for the sweet tea. Normally we don't refill OJ at mcdonalds(i worked there when i was young) but since they dont have a soda machine i thought they would be lenient to let me refill it once bec im really thirsty after workout. I asked one of the crew at the counter if they can refill the oj for me. This african descent woman blatantly said "no! We dont refill OJ" i said i understand that you guys dont refill it i paid for the soda cup prior to your crew telling me that soda machine is down and was given 3 options and i dont drink the two other choices. This other african descent woman interferes and she appears to be the manager bec they dont have name tags to accurately describe who you are in that business stated what is the problem? I explained her the problem and repeated the same thing and adding an insult that she said i was cursing at her crew (young guy wearing the white shirt). I confronted the guy and said did i cursed at you? (Bec i didnt) and he shooked his head. I told her I didnt and you can replay your cctv to prove it. Bad customer service + a manager making false assumptions to divert the situation. This place just went down the hill with their managerial staffs, they can seriously go or underwent training for customer service bec they failed miserably today. It's ridiculous to complain about a drink. I don't do reviews for food establishments like this but this place deserves it bec of these two specific crews they deserve even a zero stars until they learn proper customer service. Food...
Read moreI've been to McD's all over the country and this is one of the worst ones. I rarely have a good experience here yet I keep coming back. I don't know what's wrong with me.
The first issue is the parking lot. I usually park up close to the building in this one spot to the right because my work truck is large and takes up several regular spaces. That spot is presently coned off for no apparent reason. So if you can't park because there is a big truck taking up a bunch of spots, I sincerely apologize for the gross mismanagement of their lot.
The second issue is the service. It isn't good, even when it's slow. I feel bad for the people actually working there trying to get orders out. Honestly, it's hard to watch.
The third part is the food costs. McD's has the amazing ability to be consistent with their food quality across the nation and this restaurant is no exception. The food is pretty much in line with other stores. But their costs are just ridiculous. They got rid of counter help and installed kiosks then raise their prices and pocket the profits. This is a corporate issue but it's still disgusting.
You know what else is disgusting? The coffee here. Although McD's food quality remains consistent, this restaurant clearly doesn't clean their coffee machines. Why does their coffee taste like ammonia? It's undrinkable. Absolutely disgusting. And that's really sad because McD's typically has excellent coffee.
Honestly, if you've got the time, just keep going down Rt 9 to the Howell restaurant. Better parking, better service, and the coffee won't make you sick.
And do yourself a favor, install the app. They've got decent...
