I was. a big fan of Krispys in Brooklyn lived there for over 20 years and moved to NJ the last 5 years. You thought food made by the same family are the same but it seems like brothers have different makes, models and trims but still calls themselves Krispy. I came by to give this place a try to see if the same brooklyn consistency that Freddy's baby is on par. I would say some of the slices that were supposed to be par baked with seeds at Brooklyn and the size of the size was not on par with Freddys slices. I tried my favorite slice, before I did that I looked at it and see if the consistency was about 80% close to Freddys, The sauce and the ingredients were close to on par with Freddys sauce. The only thing I will drop on the rating it is not par baked with no seeds that make this slice what it is supposed to be. I understand some would cut corners but experienced pizza consumers will see how the slice look before purchasing it. It goes with any NJ pizza shop, if the slice looks too much dough or lack of cheese I leave. Also size of the slice is very important as well. It seems like NJ slices are smaller than NY for some odd reasons. I tried others that I normally never try like the tr color slice, it was bad. It came out very dried with lack of sauce and just all dough. That was vey disappointing. The pollo rolls was very good. I give you that. The main ingredients like sauce, cheese and dough...
Read moreFriday night is normally our pizza night. Last week we ordered from Krispy. It was cooked to perfection exactly as we ordered it. We could not wait to order again…. we were extremely disappointed. We ordered a pizza cooked lightly and that is not what we got. That is the problem…. none of the places around here are consistent.
UPDATE: We ordered again last Friday.... delicious and cooked to perfection!! Thank you Nico for your response! I have changed my rating. We are ordering again tonight, can't wait!
UPDATE: I was not going to post this; but it bothers me so much! We ordered again only to be disappointed! We requested lightly done as usual, unfortunately that was not what we got! I called and requested to speak to the GM and when he finally answered I was told we are busy right now. I understand about being busy. If other customers did not get what they ordered eventually you will not have any customers! I feel the situation should have been handled in a more professional manor instead of telling me your busy. Your busy and my family is hungry! How many other customers did you say that to? Although we really like your food when it is prepared as ordered. You have...
Read moreThis was my pie that was delivered to me tonight. The cheese is falling off. It looks like the delivery driver must’ve dropped the pie 10 times and also I had to take a scissor and cut four slices myself so therefore I’m not very satisfied I called the pizzeria and they were like well since you ate it I said yeah well it’s edible. Of course I’m gonna eat it but the presentation sucks and you would think they would comp me a free pie for this issue but nope !!!they just lost this customer that spends a lot of money every week. I’ll go to round pie instead. I don’t care. Value your customers at the end of the day, it’s a 20$ pie, and now you lost a customer. I don’t ever complain, but this pissed me off, I placed very big orders with this pizzeria numerous times birthday parties, gatherings you name it. I always call them the neighborhood pizzeria but...
