We had my son's birthday party at iPlay America this past Saturday afternoon. It was the perfect place for a bunch of 11 year olds to enjoy some serious fun together with amusement rides, laser tag, pizza, cake, arcade games and more!
Everything was very well organized and run, right from the start as we checked into the party area where the boys got their ride bands and temperature checks. We were then introduced to our party coordinator, Emily, who helped our group of 11 rambunctious boys move from one attraction to the next all around the facility. Having a party host made the whole experience truly stress free for us parents.
The boys enjoyed some excitement and lots of laughs on the rides, including Kite Flyer, Skyscraper, Freedom Rider, Crazy Cabs, and perhaps the overall group favorite (at least for the biggest daredevils), Reverse Time. It was such a hit they requested to ride twice!
Insider tip: you do have to wait in line for the rides along with the general public at iPlay, so perhaps a weekday party would offer the shortest wait times. We were lucky in that our lines weren’t long, but I imagine they could be on busy weekends.
The party also included a private round of laser tag in what is arguably the best laser tag arena around. There are 2 levels and lots of places to sneak around amidst the exciting array of colorful lights and sounds.
We had a bit of time left before heading to our party room, so Emily was also able to take us into the 4D movie theater for a showing of Red Beards Rapids. This was also a real crowd pleaser! We were transported into a roaring rapids waterslide adventure in this interactive experience complete with moving seats, “splashes” of water and air, and 3D pirates wielding swords on the big screen. The boys didn’t want it to end!
We wrapped up with pizza and cake, and this crew was certainly hungry. I was glad we were able to order an extra pie on the spot. Emily stuck with us all the way through to the end helping to serve in the party room. Pitchers of soft drinks were also included. And the room was festive and decorated, with room for parents to gather and sit in the back.
Our MEGA party package also included a spin on the prize wheel for the birthday boy, arcade cards for all, and ride bands to stay and play (for the immediate family) – so we stuck around and played some arcade games after saying good bye to our friends.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this party package. My son rated it a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of hosting my child's birthday party at iPlay America, and I must say, it was an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish! This venue goes above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of your celebration is memorable, fun, and stress-free.
From the moment we walked in, the vibrant and energetic atmosphere of iPlay America captivated both kids and adults alike. The array of attractions is nothing short of spectacular. With everything from thrilling rides and arcade games to laser tag and go-karts, there was never a dull moment. The kids were completely enthralled, and even the parents found themselves joining in on the fun.
The party packages offered by iPlay America are incredibly well thought out and cater to a wide range of interests and age groups. We opted for a package that included unlimited rides and arcade play, and it was a hit! The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Our dedicated party host was fantastic, keeping the kids engaged and making sure the schedule flowed seamlessly.
One of the standout aspects of iPlay America is the attention to detail in their party planning. The themed party rooms are bright, spacious, and perfectly decorated, creating a festive and inviting environment for our celebration. The food options were also top-notch, with delicious pizzas, chicken tenders, and a variety of snacks that pleased both kids and adults. The birthday cake, which we ordered through iPlay America, was not only beautifully decorated but also absolutely delicious.
What truly sets iPlay America apart is their commitment to making every birthday special. The personalized touches, such as a custom birthday shout-out and a special gift for the birthday child, made our event feel truly unique and memorable. The kids left with huge smiles and wonderful memories, and many of the parents commented on how impressed they were with the entire experience.
In conclusion, iPlay America is the ultimate destination for hosting a birthday party. Their wide range of attractions, impeccable service, and attention to detail create an unparalleled celebration experience. If you're looking for a place that will delight both kids and adults, look no further. We can't wait to return for more fun...
Read moreWe recently visited iPlay, and while there were definitely some highlights, there were also a few frustrations that I think are worth sharing.
The boardwalk-style atmosphere was awesome—it really gives you that fun, nostalgic vibe. The unlimited wristband was okay, but just a heads-up: “unlimited” doesn’t mean access to everything. There are add-ons you’ll need to purchase separately, so keep that in mind when planning your budget.
As for toddlers, there isn’t a ton for them to do. It’s much better suited for older kids, so if you’re bringing little ones, they may not get the full experience.
Now for the part that really soured the day: the lack of organization when it comes to camps or school groups. I completely understand large groups coming to enjoy the venue—but when they show up without a clear adult present for food or rides, it creates chaos. I witnessed multiple groups of 10–12 kids in matching shirts repeatedly cutting in line for rides and food. One ride that had zero line still took us over 30 minutes to get on because groups kept jumping ahead until I finally had to speak up.
At Sonny’s, I was already in a long line when a group of kids from a camp joined their friends and began ordering individually, which caused the line to double in size. It was frustrating enough that I just stepped out of line altogether.
I’m not trying to be harsh—I think iPlay has a lot of potential and is fun for families. But a simple fix would make a world of difference: require adult supervision when large groups are navigating food lines or ride queues, and maybe offer designated time slots or chaperone rules for smoother experiences.
We’ll likely return, but only on a day when we know there aren’t camps...
