Sal Sorrento's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Freeland

I’ve eaten here several times I must say today was probably the worst experience I’ve had at this restaurant. I’d expect it to be crazy and busy on the weekends. This was a Wednesday night. There was only one server , one pizza maker, and one person running the front we waited a really long time to be seated and after being seated and more people came in it was a really long time . I received an calll for medical emergency and our food was not ready and I had to leave and had forgotten a bottle of wine on the table we had purchased. I’ve made several calls after I left over 40 minutes Nobody seems to answer the phone there which is unusual, especially after the phone keeps ringing and ringing for that long. , i’m not sure why the owners did not put on more staff. I understand it is not during the weekend but for the amount of tables there should’ve been more than one server and possibly more than one cook the. what was there. I hope somebody will contact me in regards to the bottle of wine that was on the table I gave my phone number when I checked in because I would like to get that credited back to my card. This place has gone downhill badly. I used to order 2-3 times a week and in the past month or nothing has been good from the hoagies to the pizzas and Stromboli’s. The pizzas and Stromboli’s have been horrible and half the time doughy and raw and fall apart when you try to take a bite. The Stromboli’s are always burnt on the bottom and everything just falls out of them plus they’re always watery. The hoagies have no flavor and nothing on them. This is hands down the best pizza ever! There are some places in the surrounding area that come close, but nobody beats Sorrento's pizza. The rest of their food is amazing also, their Baked Italian sub is a must try. I've never had anything from there that didn't leave my stomach full and taste buds yelling for another bite. Sorrentos has beenna staple of the Freeland community forever and the reason is definitely the quality of their food. The prices are very affordable and the restaurant itself is always spotless.
