I have been going here for a while and in my time i had tried many many MANY indian restaurants to see if any restaurant can beat the price and taste. Guess how many i found? Zero, yes im not kidding. Why is this place so great? let me explain to you
The naan is always fresh and so warm that it practically burns your fingerprints right off!(just kidding) but that shows you how much they are well prepared.
The chicken tikka masala is always recommended as it is the correct amount of spice without burning your tongue.
Random tip #1- If you order a chicken tikka masala and want another one instead buy a chicken breast and dip it into the sauce itself which creates more food for less!
Saag chicken is full of spinach and chicken and this chicken has bone might i add. IT gives it a flavorful and rich aroma to supplement the spinach itself.
Of course we do have the chicken tandoori leg! Its is very good but the portion size is smaller then the breast however it does have more taste! Crisp but not burnt, just right.
The Karahi is also a great dish you should try, and its kind of hard to explain the karahi so its kinda like more masala and herb driven which is different then the tumeric powder used in the tikka.
All in all every time i come here im not disappointed especially when i come ask for the bill which is surprisingly low for the amount of food you get.
I pay at least $30-$50 and end up taken the seconds home which even i cant finish. Although the inside could use a little redecorating its fine as long as the food is great. Also to Muslim readers, this restaurant is confirmed to be HALAL if anyone is wondering.
Now if only i can half half spoon of that...
Read moreThis is a pretty basic place. You might call it a hole in the wall. That’s not a bad thing if the food is good and made with effort and care. I was the only person in the place until a couple came in about 20 minutes after me.
I agree with another reviewer that the cleanliness of the place could be improved, as could the customer service skills of the people working there, but what do you really want for inexpensive food anyway?
I had the nihari which is my favorite Pakistani dish in the world (it is a braised beef dish for those who don’t know it). With it I ordered rice and raita. They didn’t have goat (which I initially tried to order) and they also didn’t have papadum (hard to believe). I paid $12 for my dinner.
The nihari was very delicious; but honestly, it was in a big bowl of (delicious) sauce that only contained 4-5 small pieces of meat. I would guess there were around 3-4 ounces of meat in there. For a dinner entree this is simply not enough. It was ok for one person but two people would leave hungry if they shared this dish. My advice to the owners is to make the dish more substantial- you will earn repeat customers that way vs one-time customers which is probably what I am. So in summary- food was delicious but not enough; atmosphere was very basic;...
Read moreNever ordering again. Ordered vegetarian biryani from Bismillah last night. My sister and I ate small portion of biryani since we were not that hungry and decided to eat rest of the biryani the next day. The next day whilst eating the same biryani we discovered an unusual food item in our biryani which we could not recognise, (since we are familiar with the cuisine/dish and also have appropriate knowledge about spices too) It is also to be noted that, we have ordered multiple times from the restaurant and this was the first time that we have experienced this and we can affirm that we have found the said alleged item in our biryani upon confirmation from our family member who eats meat, it was confirmed that it was infact meat pieces in our vegetarian biryani. I am utterly disgusted by the unprofessional service of the restaurant and their carelessness. This is seriously unacceptable and as a vegetarian, who does not believe in hurting animals in any form. We demand a sincere apology from the restaurant for providing a poor quality service and food and for hurting our sentiments and I hope it never happens to...
