Hyderabad Dum Biryani — Restaurant in Fremont

I would like to share my experience at the Hyderabadi Biryani Fremont location. I was extremely disappointed with the food there. I placed an order for the chicken fry biryani (Family pack) for pick-up from their website on July 1st, 2023. Unfortunately, the food was of poor quality and we couldn't eat it. The biryani turned out to be extremely bitter, and it looked completely different from the photo on their website. I returned the biryani and expressed my dissatisfaction to the staff at the front desk. They called someone and offered to replace it with a boneless biryani. Since it was late and I didn't want to go to another restaurant, I accepted the offer and waited an additional 20 minutes to pick up the replacement order. However, once again, the food was terrible. When we served the biryani, we discovered meat of three different colors (white, grey, and red), which was quite concerning. While I am aware that chicken meat is usually white, I was unsure about the red and grey-colored meat. We decided not to eat the food and I returned to the restaurant with it. I showed the different meat to the front staff, but he didn't provide any explanation. He called someone again and handed the phone to me. I spoke to that person, who accused me of blaming their food and mentioned that people from Fremont always complain like this. Although he offered another biryani, I declined and simply asked for a refund. He agreed and assured me that the refund would be processed within 2 business days. However, I have yet to receive the refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I personally will not...

We ordered mutton biriyani and it was the worst biriyani I have ever eaten. The rice had a strong smell of old stored rice(usually hot steaming cooked rice has a very fragrant smell but this rice had a strange smell). It was not flavorful and not well cooked and mixed with the mutton. The mutton was well marinated but had a watery element to it with no taste of spices in it. I am not sure what they are cooking and serving to the customers. Later on I found out that their chefs have changed. The manager did give me roti chapati and mutton curry when I told him about my experience but the mutton curry too was terrible! It was cooked with cream and had a very unappetising look to it. Now I will think twice to go there.
