Irvington Park — Attraction in Fremont

This is a nice local park to go to. I happen to not come here for a long time even though that it’s very close to where I live. The park has improved over the years since they added bleachers at the parking lot as well as renovating the playgrounds.

It’s not really a big park but it’s convenient for those who live really close to it. They have a building called Irvington Community Center, which I think is a place for children’s activities. There is another building which is small. I think it was supposed to be a library, but is recently closed. Right next to it is the ballot drop box, where I usually go to drop my ballot envelope.

We love this little park... well, small, but it's across the street from a high school, and features an astroturfed football field. There's a large gym for basketball games too. The field serves for many sports. Football is expected, but today they were playing cricket, I've seen them playing lacrosse... lots of local folks bring their young kids here... there's a huge double-barreled slide. A large day care is part of it. There's even a small library. The surrounding homes are newish and...

This park may not be huge but crowded on weekdays because of soccer activities on the turf field. Many of residents can be seen jogging, walking or picnicking and even some yoga or other sports activities.
