Ampersand Ice Cream — Restaurant in Fresno

THREE out of FOUR family members tried Ampersand Ice Cream.

The family main comment was, the marketing worked perfect that made the family visit and try the product. However, the family wasn’t happy with the taste as they are comparing the taste to ice cream made in Europe and/ or the Mediterranean and North Africa ice creams. Furthermore, granted the weather was hot yesterday, yet the family members who chose the cone rather than the cup, determined that the cone design was flawed as it was open on the bottom where the ice cream melted and leaked from the bottom of the cone.

Nevertheless, it’s NOT easy for any food business to succeed, yet we command Ampersand ice cream shop owners Jeff and Amelia Bennett for taking a courageous step to open the THIRD location near Willow & Shepherd.

The shop sells a variety of ice cream flavors they make themselves. Popular favorites include honeycomb and whiskey caramel swirl. It also offers vegan sorbets.

Creative seasonal flavors change each month, with July’s offerings including blackberry crisp, sweet corn, blueberry honey and a vegan nectarine and sage sorbet.”

Mmmm mmmmm DELICIOUS!! 😍🍨 okay guys…. I don’t even eat ice cream, couldn’t tell you the last time I had a scoop before coming to this place.. and I’ll be honest, I just came in for a sample, thought I’d check it out see what the hubbubs about…. It was beyond worth it! This place has glorious ice cream, they change flavors up monthly (they keep the standard Go-To’s on hand) and it is all so much better than I ever remember ice cream being, the vanilla and strawberry are supreme and you’ve gotta get a sample of that Bordeaux (you can thank me later) they currently have a honeycomb which is to die for! All in all I love this place, they have two new repeat customers! 🥰 no regrets over that Pint of strawberry I got 🤫 🤣

They also have what they call a “pint club” you get a sort of passport booklet that they stamp, there are some perks that come along with that (their website explains it all) they provide catering if you desire a sweet event!? Everyone whom I’ve met that works there is delightful and they offer a couple free sugar cones with your purchase if you ask! To sum it up, check them out! It's Sunday, May 25 6:40 pm and my family just left ampersand. From the moment we stepped up to the counter, we were disappointed. We usually have such warm welcoming customer service. The server is usually very friendly and upbeat. We were not greeted by any means. The guy who helped us mumbled at us and it only went down hill from there. We made our decision and walked to the register and paid. He brought over our ice cream and literally tossed it towards the register. I told my daughter if she hadn't paid already, I would have walked out and left the ice cream. We sat outside and began telling my husband about our experience when a lady with her child chimed in and asked if we were speaking about the guy and we said yes. She experienced the same attitude from him. I said maybe he was having a bad day, but if so, you would think the shift manager would notice and put him on another task and not directly with customers.
