Belmont Burger — Restaurant in Fresno

The food here is great 5/5. The older gentleman who cooks everything in the back is very friendly and welcoming. Unfortuanately the lady who runs the counter not so much, shes very rude. I ordered the double sourdough and a nugget meal. Apparently that mustve been a form of offense...? She escalated with attitude from there. After rudely informing me my food was ready, i walked to the counter. l reluctantly, but also politely asked for BBQ suace, that was apparently the last straw. She overly exagerated that they were 50 cents but tossed it in my bag and walked away. I would have happily paid the 50 cents as they are a small business trying to make a living. I grabbed a dollar and left it on the counter. The older gentleman apologized and said it was okay, but i insisted. Belmont burger located in Fresno California is what I would define as a hidden gem. Was in Fresno looking for somewhere different to eat when I stumbled across this place on my phone. I saw good reviews so decided to stop by. I was very surprised to see they sold not only American diner food but also Chinese good as well. There were two employees working when we got it. Looks to me like husband and wife. Really cool atmosphere. I think it's a mom and pop shop with only mom and pop working. They have a good thing going on and both workers were fun to interact with. Me and my mom love this place! I always ask her to buy me their fries whenever I’m sick or busy. The staff know us very well and are much more friendly then the previous owners. I live about 5 minutes away from this place and I’d say that I go there quite often if I’m with my friends or with my mom. This place is amazing the food is delicious and is better than McDonald’s in my opinion.
