Our anticipation was high as we eagerly prepared for our gender reveal event, ordering two beautifully crafted cakes from Eddie's Bakery. With aspirations of delighting our loved ones, we ensured that the cakes remained sealed until the much-anticipated moment of cutting into them. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we discovered that the fillings inside the cakes were the incorrect colors, essentially shattering our hopes for an unforgettable surprise.
Seeking a resolution, we promptly contacted Eddie's Bakery, hoping they would assist us in rectifying this unfortunate error. Regrettably, despite the substantial amount we had paid ($96) for two six-inch cakes, we were met with the disappointing response that there was nothing they could do to salvage our reveal party. This lack of empathy displayed by the manager in handling the mistake deepened our disappointment and left us with a sour experience.
It is with great regret that I express my disappointment in the overall handling of this situation by Eddie's Bakery. The lack of initiative to rectify the mistake, coupled with the absence of empathy from the manager, has compelled me to make the difficult decision of not returning to this establishment in the future. As a customer who had previously held a positive opinion of this bakery, it is disheartening to see such disregard for the importance of customer satisfaction.
I hope that Eddie's Bakery takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their service quality, particularly in situations where mistakes are made. A sincere effort in rectifying customer grievances would undoubtedly restore confidence in the brand and help create better experiences for customers.
In conclusion, our experience at Eddie's Bakery for our gender reveal party was marred by the incorrect cake filling and the subsequent lack of empathy from the manager. This disappointing incident has led to our decision to find alternative options for future...
Read moreI have always heard nothing but good things about Eddie’s Bakery. My wife has always wanted a cake from here for our wedding but at the time we got married in 2008 we could afford the cost of a wedding. Fast forward to 2019 my wife and I finally had a chance to order a cake and it was for our Gender Reveal/ Baby shower. We have struggled with infertility for years and finally after almost 2 years of IVF we got pregnant!! We were so excited to come to Eddie’s to order cakes we spent almost 2 hours with a manger going over the reason for the cakes and our excitement this is my first child so I’m sure everyone can see how excited over joyed we are! We order 4 cakes in total 1 blue for boy Mickey fondant and 1 pink Minnie fondant cake with Mickey/Minnie 3D topper & 1 blue butter cream 1 pink butter cream Minnie/ Mickey cake and I provided a picture of the cakes paid in full over $460. April 27 I arrive at around 930am to pick up the cakes automatically they start acting weird with me I was told they would refund me $200 but not given a reason just that I was over charged. Then the cakes were brought out and I see that these are not the cakes I ordered. I text me wife and then call her she starts to cry I assure her it will be ok. I told them you guys don’t understand how much we put into this day this day means a lot to us! These cakes looked nothing like any other cake they are know for baking. The cakes I received could have been ordered from someone that bakes from home! Needless to say I called Monday and no manger would speak to me by Thursday I get a call back that I would receive a gift card to eddies for $35 for the inconvenience I waited to post my experience to give them the opportunity to make it right but sadly that did not happen. No thanks you can keep $35 I won’t be returning ever! If someone would have called me and at least told me they could not make the cakes this would have made all the difference! For pictures please...

Let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time there was this little child (7 years old) his dad was not French, yet made the best French pastries this wee young lad had every laid his taste buds on. When the lil squirt had aspirations of being as good as his dad, but he soon realized the impossibility of this. So the lil munchkin grew in stature all the while knowing what a pastry made with love tasted like. The then lil squirt became a young man in search of the best pastries up and down the West Coast.
Oh, I was once the lil squirt, my dad IS still FREAKIN amazing at making pastries, but Eddies is a pretty close "2nd" place to my dad. This doesn't mean they should be a 4 star, it just means my Dad - if he had a google rating (don't get your hopes up world he only likes baking for close loved ones), would be a 6 star.
ACTUAL REVIEW: The boysenberry Danish was still warm when I ate it shortly after they opened (6 am), the filling tasted like homemade boysenberry jam, NOT like the nasty canned filling, the Danish itself was light and flaky, and had the special touch that comes with bakers who take their time and don't over work the flaky dough prior to cooking. I also recommend you get their chocolate almond filled croissant if you like those flavors, I do personally!
Coffee: Average, not special. They serve Peets coffee, and I ordered an Oat milk Carmel Macchiato. I like my coffee drinks iced and extra sweet. The sweetness is on par, however the coffee flavor is too acidic, and a bit bitter, not smooth. Still, not a terrible coffee, there's just other places I'd rather go for a sweet coffee drink. This is my first coffee drink I've had here, so this may be a one off... Nonetheless I came here for the pastries...
