Ordered 200 lumpia and a half tray of pancit over the phone on May 31. Spent about 5 minutes discussing my order and info with a gentleman. He even gave me the total cost and confirmed the pickup time before hanging up. I’ve ordered the same way for 4 graduation parties since 2019 and have NEVER had a problem before. In fact, they always tell me that all they need is an hour advance notice. On the day of our party, June 1, my husband arrived at Jowli’s at 3pm as confirmed. He was told that there was no order for me. He even gave them the details and cost. They had nothing and nobody there fessed up. They told him they would have it ready in 20 minutes if he still wanted it. He confirmed he still wanted it and agreed to the 20 minutes, but went to pick up our cake order in the meantime. When he came back, they told him that they did not start the order because they assumed he wasn’t coming back. He then had to wait another 30 minutes with our cake in the car! They did give him a free small biko for the trouble. Our party started at 4pm and my husband did not arrive until 4:30pm. This has never happened before. They’re usually very punctual with our order ready to go. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5. As usual, the lumpia, pancit, and biko...
Read moreAs a Filipino who is an excellent cook, but has no A/C, a small kitchen & limited budget for family of 6 who are NOT of same heritage & only mediocre appreciation for the cuisine, it makes sense to get my "pinoy" food fix elsewhere. Jowli's is the best place to do this. The Philippine Grocery is good... but Jowli's combo meals are tasty, authentic, & most importantly to me, cost effective. Personally, I think my Lumpia & Pancit Guisado are superior to everyone else, but cost of superior ingredients & time needed for one person is crazy, & the amount of pancit I usually make is a blessing to others instead of me. My pork adobo is good,b but Jowli's is better. For $10, the combo is the way to go. Food is great & staff is too. Jowli's...
Read moreSome of the best Filipino food in entire Central Valley as well as paradigm customer service. I came moments before closing and they still took me in. Not only that, as a way to express and apology for running out of Pancit for the day, the Lady gave me tons of freebies, claiming that they can’t resell it tomorrow anyway so I may as well take it. Folks, we are talking about an establishment that truly understands, appreciates, and welcomed their customers. The food is genuine Filipino cuisine that reminds me of my repeated stays in Cebu. I would strongly recommend Jowli’s to anybody ready to experience local Filipino delicacies or looking for a nice restaurant with amicable staff. Easiest 5 stars I’ve give...
