UPDATE: these people just can’t get it right. I used to love the Me & Ed’s on Clinton & 99 because they were so on top of things. This one is horrible. All you have to do is let people know that you are behind. They don’t answer the phone and they let people stand in line for 20 minutes only to tell them that they’re not taking orders anymore even though it’s 7:30 PM. This poor old man with a cane just stood in line for 20+ minutes only to be turned away because they’re not taking orders anymore. Put a sign outside
One star because there is no zero. I will do my best to describe the horrifying experience I had here on Valentines Day evening. I went in and placed my order for three pizzas at about 6 PM. Anthony said it would be about 45 minutes to an hour wait. After an hour, I went back up to the counter and they said my pizzas were in the oven and it would be about 10 minutes. After about 10 minutes, I saw them making my pizzas. Liars. Every 10 minutes for the next 30 minutes I went up to the counter and they kept saying my pizzas were in the oven and they'd be ready in about three minutes. Well, it took just under two hours to get my pizzas. During the entire two hours I was there I saw a lot. Some things a health inspector would be horrified to see. It was chaos behind the counter. It was so smoky in there that everybody's eyes were burning. Half the customers were in the same boat as I was. People were coming up from their tables with pizzas that they didn't order. Anthony just told them to keep the pizzas. No wonder our pizzas weren't ready. They were handing them out to the wrong people and telling them they could keep them. This happened five times while I waited. Then there was Ryan. Yes, I was there long enough to learn their names. Ryan worked hard, but he was not sanitary at all. He was using a broom and a scraper to scrape off the counter then touching the pizzas with his bare hands. He touched my pepperoni pizza with his bare hand but I was so desperate to feed my family at this point, I just tore that end of the pizza off. Disgusting. He wasn't the only one though, there were several others who were touching pizzas with their bare hands when they were touching dirty surfaces. About a third of the workers didn't have head covers either. Also disgusting. There was also this one loud mouth employee. He would literally scream out somebody's number. His coworkers thought it was funny. The gross part is he was screaming over the pizza before closing the pizza box. Thanks for the DNA. Do I blame the workers? No. I blame the management. There had to of been somebody there running that zoo. Oh, and the pizzas? The ingredients weren't evenly distributed evenly. On one it only had like three pieces of tomato and another the pepperoni was all on one side. When I left, some lady was yelling at them because they gave her one of her pizzas and she had been waiting 45 minutes for her other one. Never again. $55.13...
Read moreFirst, let me say that I have always enjoyed Me N Ed's pizza. I have ordered from this particular store for years, with great service. Tonight, on the other hand, was horrible. Ordered a pizza, a calzone, 1lb buffalo wings, and potato wedges. We also ordered fountain drinks.
When we got our drinks, we found that the Sierra Mist tasted like mold and mildew, which turned our stomachs, but I just kindly let the employees know. The employee dismissed it and said, "We just changed it out. Its probably just air in the lines." I'm sorry, but air in the lines DOES NOT change the taste of the soda. Unclean lines do.
Once we received our order, we found that the pizza had absolutely no taste at all, the calzone was NOT cooked thoroughly, and the wings had sauce that was WAY over cooked.
I returned the above items and stated my complaints, where the employee just looked at me. I had to ask him to remake the items, where he said "We can do that for you."
Update: of the new items remade, the calzone was back to great quality. The pizza, not whatsoever.
We are extremely unhappy with the service as of late and are seriously considering changing out regular Saturday night...
Read moreThis is a staple of pizza for anyone who has grown up in the valley. I'm in my 40's and I can remember going to Me n Ed's when I was a young child. Amazingly, it tastes just like I remember every time we go get a pizza from there. The are now multiple locations and some of them have themes. River Park does Coney Island. Cedar avenue is a Sports Pub. They still serve that great pizza that they are known for. But at these locations I think there's more variety on the menu. One addition I love is the Ed's Red Beer they serve. It's delicious! Bottom line, great crust, great sauce and a pizza that has literally stood the test of time here in the valley. If your not from here you gotta check this out. If you are from here, I'll probably see you in...
