This was our first visit to Namikaze, and it definitely will NOT be our last. We ordered some appetizers, calamari and nachos. As well as two amazing sushi rolls. One was a caterpillar roll and the other was a Hurricane Roll. I was literally astonished with the lightness and freshness of each ordered item. The Sushi Chef's are absolute masters! The sushi was the BEST I have ever eaten anywhere within the state of California! For me to compliment that highly is rare, but this statement is warranted. We ordered from the 2 for 12 menue, I ordered the Sukiaki beef bowl and the Ebi roll. This was a big portion and you get an entire order of sushi which is seldom done in other places. My wife had the tofu bowl that came with a poki bowl, my son's ordered teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken bowls with California rolls. Our waitress was amazing as well very professional and friendly. We will be back soon. Oh.. they do practice covid safety, wear gloves while preparing food and masks. They also have indoor and outdoor dining.

Great vegan options! Had the miso ramen and my partner had the curry udon. We also split the shishito peppers and a few rolls. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The curry udon broth was really flavorful. It’s great to see a restaurant clearly label and accommodate veg options. It’s even better when they go above and beyond with presentation! I wish there was an option to add tofu to your plate (the soups were just noodles broth and vegetables) but I was full and happy nonetheless. I’m sure if we asked they could have accommodated, but would love to see some veg protein add-ons as part of the menu. The service was great, super friendly and attentive. Good relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Namikaze for the clearly labeled vegan options!! Bookmarked for when I pass through Fresno again.

First time ordering from this place because I got a late evening craving for ramen and all my other regular ramen options were closing soon. So I made the nearly 20 minute drive to this place to pick up a take out order and I was completely disappointed by the food. For taste and quality, it was not bad. For quantity this place is an absolute scam. I got one single, and tiny, piece of pork for my Tonkatsu Ramen and one single green veggie, whatever it is. The salmon rice bowl was okay but also small. And there were no additional condiments or sauces with any of the food. Never coming here again, definitely not worth $30 when I can get so much more food and better flavor at Ramen Ichiban.

My husband and I decided to try a different Japanese Restaurant from our regular one, so we can see what other Japanese Restaurants offer in Fresno. This was a huge mistake. The service was terrible as I had to keep asking for things (table setting, soy sauce, water refill, and our appetizer which came out after our main course because the waitress forgot). I told my husband that I could forgive one person's deficiencies if the food is decent and it was terrible again. Not sure where the sushi chefs are trained or trained at all. I know I can be picky as I was born and raised in Japan but this was not even acceptable in American restaurant standards. The sushi came poorly rolled and the contents in the roll fell out into the soy sauce, the roll came apart as I tried to pick it up with my chop-sticks and the fish was old. I was very disappointed. The other Japanese Restaurant we frequent is superb (not sure if I can mention the name her so, I won't). We will not be returning to Namakazi and not sure why they are still in business. I didn't want to be harsh but it was such a bad experience for my husband and I. My husband ordered the Curried Rice and he didn't even finish half of his meal as he kept saying something is off. We live and learn and just wanted to share...

Was visiting from England to see my partner and accidentally stumbled upon Namikaze for a night out. As soon as we walked in through the door we were warmly welcomed by practically all staff members both those cooking and waiting staff. We were only waiting to be seated for barely 10 seconds before a lovely waitress directed us to a table. She provided us with a drinks menu and 2 food menus. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud yet not too quiet either. Some good music as well to add to the vibes. The menu for both food and drink were clear and concise. Prices for drinks and food ranged averagely between 10 and 20 dollars which I'd expected for Japanese/sushi. We ordered an Asian take on a Moscow mule and a cherry blossom margarita both which were delicious and quite strong too. We ordered the yakisoba with beef and the tiger and rainbow sushi rolls as well as the deep fried crab. These were absolutely delicious and absolutely worth the money spent on them. The waitress serving us didn't catch her name sadly was amazing and gave us enough time to order without disappearing for ages. She was friendly, asked about ourselves and showed an interest.

We will absolutely be returning here soon.

TLDR: Go here if you want good service, good food and...
