I go here often with my family and every single time we are greeted when we walk in. The cashiers are always patient and if you ask, they can give you recommendations. For people that are new to korean food, they usually suggest the jjangmyeon which is noodles with jajang sauce (black bean sauce stir fried with onions, napa cabbage and pork) which is a non-spicy dish that is a bit more on the sweet and savory side. Personally my favorite dish might be the stir fried noodles because it has good flavor, it has pork, shrimp and squid and it's not spicy. If you don't like certain things or are allergic to some stuff like shrimp, you can try asking them to remove it and more than likely they can.
I'm okay with spicy, but not too spicy, but if you want something spicy and craving soup, I would suggest the jjampong if you're okay with spicy or even the chili jjampong if you're really good with spicy (if its not spicy enough you can ask for some more peppers on the side). If you dont want soup but want sorta spicy I would suggest the stir-fried jajangmyeon (you can get this non-spicy as well).
They have a few different entrees, sweet and sour pork is the most popular and I understand why. The pork comes out nice and crispy and the sauce is very good. The spicy chicken is also pretty good and it's not super spicy. They have a few different fried shrimp options that are pretty good, the chili shrimp might be my favorite since the sauce is more on the sweet side. Also the fried dumplings are pretty good too.
Overall, this restaurant is a good place to go to and the price of the food is pretty good for the amount you get. On top of that, the service is...
Read more!⭐️the best thing here was the party Jajang noodles, the Jeju hallabong sparkling drink, pear puree drink and the dumpling ⭐️ !
We ordered a variety food and drinks The reason I put four stars is because the chili shrimp and cream shrimp were not the best and the over cooked while the sweet and sour pork was bland and the batter was chewy and sticks to the teeth instead of being crispy and the sauce for the sweet and sour pork was too light, I expect a burst of flavors when having sweet and sour pork. Lastly I was really disappointed with the meat jjamppong... it was more of a Chinese hot and sour soup and there was no depth of flavors such as the seafood or meat in the soup, though I will mention the pork that is cooked on the side and put in the soup is a great idea and they just need to work on the soup base. So if anyone wants jjamppong, I would recommend asiana or Rock n noodles since theirs is great in flavor and richness. Support your locals korean...
Read moreThis review and rating takes into consideration the fact that this restaurant is in Fresno. We ended up ordering one of almost everything on the menu and compared to the rest of the good korean restaurants in the city, this has certain items that are worth coming back to like the party jajang which is the best jajang in the city by far and is close to LA jajang. The drink selection is pretty awesome with some notable winners like the jeju sparkling hanlabong as well as the pear. Overall if you have the standards of food of larger cities then it would be around a 6/10 but for fresno residents this is more of an 8-8.4/10. If I am craving a stir fried jajang this would be my new go to. Of all the items I would say the only item I can't recommend at all would be the jjamppong since it just has no depth or seafood flavor and is watery more reminiscent of a chinese hot and sour soup. But overall in the valley...
