How you do it, somehow add so much flavor and richness to your burritos, your tacos, your salsa.. my mind is blown away EVERYTIME!!! I always leave FULL, and that is when you know you are at a great establishment. I came back after a few years absence, a new store has been opened, the question of "quality" has arose from the new location but one thing remains the same.. the quality has never changed here. I missed the delicious smell of meat filling the air once you open the doors leading into heaven.. the aromas from the Chile at the salsa bar lead you over after you place your order. The staff is always welcoming and friendly! The one thing I did forget though was how much you can drop here without realizing it. 4 tacos, 1 asada burrito and a regular shrimp cocktail costs us 36 Dollars! Holy crap! I didn't really know how to react, my first thought was "well, you're here, you're hungry and you're handling your card over so too late" lol. Our food came up very fast! Like within less than five minutes we were eating. Granted, they were pretty much empty, the crowd began to trickle in after we had sat and got through half of our meal. We showed up at the right time! I've never had a burrito "taste" so fresh in my life! Everything was super hot! The beans tasted like they were just made, same for the rice and the meat had a nice char with some incredible spice notes. I was burning my mouth inhaling my burrito, I didn't care! The green sauce that was cooling off the inside but also making it spicier at the same time was well worth the trip and the amount. This will always be my "home away from home" Mexican spot. The place I first came to when I got super drunk and needed Mexican Food in Fresno spot. The Special place where you know you'll never be...

I had a bad experience with one of the employee who was a woman maybe around her early 40 or late 30. She took my order while giving a dirty look and she seems not to understand or speak English that well. I order some soft tocos to go and wanted some red and green habenero sauce. The sauce were out on the table so I'm asumming the customer are allow to use them. I grab the two sauce and two small plastic cups right when I open one of the sauce the same woman who took my order came right beside me and grab the sauce out of my hand and started pouring them into the two cups. I asked her that are we not allow to do this ourself? She just looked at me and mumble. I thank her while she just gave me a dirty look and walked off with the sauce in her hands. The tocos aren't bad but that woman is rude. I won't come to that restaurant again also the tocos...

It's the best taco place and I've been going for years. Their steak and asada is a revelation and puts others to shame. The lengua is the best lengua can be. They're freshly stocked with green, ripe limes and various salsas at all times. They make their corn tortillas to order. There's table service at certain times, and other times it's self service. They have all types of meat to choose from, an extensive menu, hibiscus and tamarind drinks, sodas/sparkling water, and fresh desserts including cheesecake. I highly recommend Tacos TJ and make sure to go to the Cesar Chavez location if you want to try the old school place. There are tons of tables for four, some long family tables and more outside. There's a bathroom but it has a ton of graffiti and the sink water is freezing cold. The atmosphere in the restaurant is always polite, calm...

I came here specifically for a carne asada burrito and it was meaty, filling and exactly what I was craving. Nothing fancy, no cebolla to make you cry…cilantro? Who needs it. The idea of a quick burrito next to a Fosters Freeze on a street renamed after Cesar Chavez just screams “Fresno”. An asada burrito with a bottled coke came out to around $18. In 2025, I think it’s a fair price and has fairly kept up with “burritoflation”. Thanks to the staff and all star cooks, I left full and satisfied and without a dent in my pocket. Who knows if I’ll make weight this weekend, but even I don’t, I know it was worth everything bite. 9.5/10 gracias y arriba las chivas!

Pretty good stuff here. First off the tacos de tripas are amazing! Ask for them to be extra crispy. The shrimp taco is also amazing. It is stewed or girded shrimp. Very flavorful. The torta de chorizo was awful. The bread is too soft. Not enough Lettuce and not enough guacamole. The chorizo was out of the casing and completely pebble. It had the texture of wet cat food. The chips and salsa are excellent. The chips are mediocre but the salsa was excellent. It was flaming hot! Wow! The agua Fresca de Tamarindo was good!

I had 6 tacos; 2 AL Pastor, 3 cabeza (head), and 1 tripitas (intestine) they were really good. My pastor tacos had little bits of pineapple that top the flavoring. The head meat was very flavorful and soft. The tripita taco was the best one, I asked the waitress if the tripa was soft or crispy, and she said she could tell the cook to make it crispy, and he delivered as promised! The Aguas frescas were on point, super delicious! 9 out of 10 recommend.
