Tahoe Joe's — Restaurant in Fresno

The last time I was here.I gave this place five stars for your one saving grace and that was your cheesecake. I'm updating my review now. There Are things that People will put up with if one are two are good, The service or the food. You guys failed both, Miserably. I took my family out and I hardly ever eat out. I chose your restaurant to celebrate a holiday. My mother's salmon was very dry It was overcooked and completely unseasoned. For the first time she actually added salt to her dish at a restaurant. Also who puts tomatoes in spinach dip? The crab cakes Were very distasteful, My daughter said that we could've made better at home And I agree with her. She had a fettuccine and Shrimp Scamp , She did not finish her miniscule amount of shrimp because it was bathing in a weird liquid that we couldnt identify, but it wasnt even pleasant tasting. pasta was very oily because you guys overcooked the cream in the sauce. Unedible. Alfredo is one of her favorites too. The only person who enjoyed their food was the eight year old with her grilled cheese. Now the service, our waiter was Alexani G. Please review the cameras, It was not busy at all! For 1:30pm I would say at most it was steady, but no where near "busy". We were not greeted at the door, We actually had to wait a bit to be noticed even though there was hardly occupied. Manager arrived with the host and did not greet me with a smile or warmly but when people came behind me, he smiled from ear to ear and changed that demeanor as if he knew he was getting Xmas gifts from grandma. No kids menu we had to ask for it because we had a child of 8 yr old. Why would she not offer a kids menu? No crayons with it. We waited a long time for our appetizers of spinach, soup and salad. Too long. The people who got seated long after us got theirs within 5 min. We needed more utensils, more refills, and we wanted to change our items, but NOBODY CAME TO CHECK ON US. The cameras don't lie. We had to go pass by our server, Our server did not pass us, It was then she happened to check on the table because she was carrying drinks for another table because I had no idea where the restrooms were and we couldn't wait on her because we had no idea where it was. Terrible experience, we came for the cheesecake, SOLEY, we left without buying it because our experience was just...

I used to love this place for years but unfortunately ever since the new company took over home town buffet I believe who took over but not 100 percent positive It's been dirty like nobody cleans the floors had crap everywhere and when you walk in it has a mildew putrid smell *like dirty old rags so I'm only assuming that they keep using week old rags to clean tables with so that's the reason for the stink inside fyi I use to work for a restaurant so that's why I can assume its dirty rags being reused over and over again so I can only assume the kitchen can only be worse in the back or how about the refrigerator that would be interesting to see haha So my wife and I went outside to get fresh air and drink my beer but that was just as disgusting if you go out there take a look at the tables in between the cracks of the tables Omg! Food was stuck and sitting there all pilled up DRANK MY BEER AND ATE at A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT.....Yosemite steak house

Came back years later they got better but unfortunately the little touches you can tell are just not the same Got a cheesecake to go and just ate it and you can tell the crust is not as thick as it used to be like 50 percent less and that was the best part about the dessert......jeeeze companies really know how to kill the cherry on top that made...

Oh boy where to start on this. Let's start off with I won't be coming back and I don't recommend anyone else ever bothers to go here. It was a good 15 minutes after we were seated when we finally met our waitress not the end of the world just mildy annoying (we were hungry) The night only proceeded to get worse from there food was all room temperature at best again not the end of the world just not ideal. After all I am paying for hot food not cold soup did I mention that yet? Yeah my soup was cold. We ordered two steaks nothing wrong with that except mine was drastically over cooked and my wife's still had a pulse which is fine if that's what we had ordered (spoiler: It was not what we ordered) my wife had to send hers back and received yet again very rare steak brought to her by a "Manager" who proceeds to argue with my wife that her steak is Infact not to rare that's simply how they cook it.

Overall my experience here was abysmal the staff was rude the food was cold and undercooked and our experience was not at all pleasant. We appreciate the kindness of our waitress to fix the mistakes of her management she really did her best to take care of us. I can not however recommend this place to anyone I would actively avoid this place for any family outings you're better...
