My boyfriend, his best friend, and I were warmly welcomed as walk-ins and seated promptly alongside a family celebrating birthdays. Coincidentally, we were also celebrating my boyfriend's best friend's birthday. While we truly enjoyed the evening, we did experience a longer-than-expected wait for the chef, which lasted over 30 minutes. However, I appreciate the manager coming out to apologize and offering us complimentary edamame as a gesture of goodwill. Once our Teppanyaki chef arrived, he provided an exceptional experience! His entertaining performance, complete with impressive fire displays, made the evening memorable, especially when we celebrated with a round of “Happy Birthday.” The food was absolutely delicious, and the fried rice was cooked to perfection—definitely deserving of a 10/10! For our party of three enjoying Teppanyaki + One appetizer, the total came to $149, plus tip. We also made sure to tip our Teppanyaki chef for his excellent service.

One area for improvement would be the service. It seemed there were not enough servers available, as we had to wait quite a while for water refills.

We have been coming here as a family to this location, for several years, way back when it was Sakanaya. We love the convenience of this location and have always loved the atmosphere and food quality. Unfortunately the last two times we have been under the new ownership, we have been very unhappy with the quality of the sushi as well as the atmosphere. Tonight we were celebrating two birthdays at our Teppanyaki table and the chef had asked if we were celebrating as well. No celebration occurred and very little teppanyaki chef performance as well. Our Chef seemed as if he really did not want to be there and didn’t really engage with anyone at our table. Additionally, It appeared maybe the air conditioner was not working and it was so hot in the restaurant it was just miserable. Food was overcooked as well. I came to celebrate my birthday with my 4 friends, totaling a party of 5 on a busy Friday night. Me being in the service industry, I'm very understand as is my party. We had some hiccups with seating, but no big deal. I got Id checked TWICE as well as berated about what town I'm from, what high school I went too, and how me and my friend knew each other in front of this table with some people we don't even know. All because my ID was "heavier than normal". Our drinks came out slow, but food was great. Our teppanyaki chef did NOT do a single trick. Nothing to engage the table. They DO NOT do anything for birthdays, atleast they didn't do anything for us but sang to the table across so I may be wrong. Overall it was terrible experience for my birthday celebration.
