I never saw a manager around during our visit. I tried calling the restaurant and no one answered.. Im only writing this review because if this was my establishment, I would want to know. Came here for brunch for my sisters birthday today. The food and drinks were fantastic. Great atmosphere. The service overall was okay, but our server in particular was awful. He appeared to be under the influence of something. He was rude, unprofessional, and basically ignored us after he took our food order. Never tended to us once after that, even though he walked by our table at least 20 times (he seemed frantic and was incredibly inefficient). We were all thirsty (empty waters and we wanted another round of drinks), and left waiting 45-minutes to an hour for our check before we finally flagged him down and asked him for it. He spent at least five minutes attempting to handle a complaint at the table next to us, which he did very unprofessionally.. pretty much told them they had nothing to complain about anymore since he wouldn’t be charging them, and then tried to give them a free drink. Blamed whatever the problem was on the party that was going on outside on the patio.. incredibly tacky, and that wasn’t even his party. Once we finally asked him for the check, he blamed the party on the patio once again! I hardly ever even saw him go outside.. and it wasn’t his table. How that has anything to do with the service he was giving his tables is beyond me. Instead of making excuses, maybe try coming to work sober, well-rested, and with a better attitude. This is a great restaurant, but experiences like we, and the other tables in his section around us seemed to be having today are exactly was drives...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant on Saturday at 2 pm. We were a party of 5 adults and 1 toddler. Our server (Jessalyn) seemed to be having difficulty with our orders. She took our drink order and left. Came back to our table with our drinks and commenced taking our order. She walked away and totally forgot one of our parties order. We had to ask another server to go get our server in order to ensure the missed order was submitted with the others. We asked for an order of french fries for the toddler to be brought out before everything else. They were lukewarm at best. He wouldn't eat them. Our orders were not complicated by any means. The French toast was served cold-we asked for it to be re-made; the chicken and waffles were served lukewarm and the chicken was over fried (burnt and dry). We asked for that to be re-made as well. One of the chefs brought the newly made chicken and waffles to the table and apologized. As he set the plate down, he knocked over a mimosa onto my daughter, which hit her shirt, pants and shoes and the seat and floor. He wiped up some of it and told her to "be careful" when getting up because the floor was "a bit wet!" At no time did ANYONE come to our table and clean up the mess completely nor did management of any kind come to our table. Our server not only forgot to take one of the orders, she didn't bring napkins or silverware. Again we had to ask another server to get these items for us. My tri tip sandwich was average--a lot of fatty meat! The Woodward has to do better. Management should be checking on their guests...that didn't happen. Our bill was over $220. Lastly, this restaurant does not honor discounts of any kind,...

While I can respect someone who doesn't have to write down the order, it's only impressive if the food comes out right. Ours did not. My sister and I ordered our food a good 6-8minutes before our brother arrived. It took him another 2-3 min to order, as again its our first time here. All the food came out at the same time, but the plates were all mixed up with who ordered what.
I ordered the wake n bake which had a choice of pancakes, I upgraded my pancakes and hated that they came with a super sweet sauce and no syrup. That glaze is way too sweet and smothered my entire plate, not happy about that. Nor was there much flavor to the potatoes or eggs. Mine actually were soaked in the sauce from the pancakes that I already hated. Real disappointment.
We ordered the mimosa to go with brunch and for the errors of our food, were brought an extra glass of mimosa. As soon as my sister picked it up, I noticed it already had lipstick on the glass. When we brought it to the bartenders attention, she mentioned she had just dropped it off at another table as they were leaving so she didn't think anyone drank from it, so why waste the drink. First of all, why would you even attempt to bring a glass from a strangers table to another table. Not knowing that the drink had been drunk by the original customer. It grossed me out and that sealed the deal we will not...
