Today was my second visit to this location. I will start by saying that the food here is pretty good. I would say it's slightly above raising Cane's, but this place basically is Cane's with almost the exact same sounding name and higher prices. The extra star is for the food taste only.

My first visit I used the drive-thru and while I was ordering at the speaker the voice on the other end tried to upsell me literally on everything. It didn't bother me and I figured I just got a motivated person on the team that's trying to look good. Anyway, the food was good and I was happy.

Today I went back for my second visit and just went through the drive-thru again. I ordered the 5 piece combo and said that I didn't want to drink. The voice on the speaker responds by saying, "okay, so is the price okay or do you want me to ring that up separately?" I told her, "Yeah, I don't want to pay for a drink I'm not having if I don't have to." She then tried to upsell me after I told her my order was complete.

The way she phrased her first response really turn me off, so when I got to the window I asked her if she was trained to respond like that to a customer when they don't want the drink with their combo. She told me they get in trouble if they are not constantly trying to upsell and that she has a list of things at a register to say. I told her that the way she responded to me really kind of offended me and that it doesn't matter if you're dealing with ego or prestige buyers, treating people like this is a good way to lose customers permanently. She told me that only "some" customers get upset about the price. The way she said this also sounded like a line she was trained to say and I felt as if she has literally been trained to money shame customers.

After this visit, I now realize that this place is not going to treat customers well, so I'll just go across the street to Chick-fil-A or Raising Cane's where they don't try to make every customer spend as much as possible at every...
