Over the past couple months I have been frequenting this location due to having work in this area. However, after my last visit I will NEVER come back here again! If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would.
FIRST instance: don't recall the date, but let's say it was end of February 2025... I go through the drive thru and order a chicken sandwich- no drink, no fries... ONLY a sandwich. I proceed to the window to pay and then get to the last window and wait...and wait... and wait. I honk to get an attendant because at this point it has been well over 5 minutes, actually approaching 10 minutes for a sandwich! I ask what's going on, and why it's taking so long? What appears to be a shift manager apologizes about the wait and says it will be just a moment. I finally get my sandwich and go about my day. I later kept the receipt as a reminder to bring this to their attention, so I come back up to this location (around 1:50 pm) and go inside the establishment and ask to speak to a manager. A shift manager comes out and looks irritated. I tell him I wanted to bring this to his attention. He then says, "what do you want me to do about it? Do you want a refund or something?" I looked at him a little shocked and said, "No, I am not asking for a refund. I am simply bringing this to your attention so that way you guys can try to do better about your long wait times in the drive thru". I was not rude to him at all and finished off with telling him thank you and walked out.
SECOND instance: Again, I placed my order at the Drive Thru- Order #579839- ordered 1 meal (whataburger burger meal)... get to work, sit down, open my bag and see that the onion ring box is literally HALF full (see image)! Ughhhh! I come back a day or two later, order a breakfast burrito and a honey butter chicken biscuit and address the issue about the onion rings, and show the picture to the manager at the drive thru. He apologizes and refunds me one of the items I ordered as compensation for the missing onion rings. Cool. I am satisfied with this resolution, drive off, and go about my day.
THIRD instance: 3/23/2025 at approximately 1:40pm... It's me, my husband and our 2 boys in the car, and I order a #13 chicken strip basket meal with a drink, spicy ketchup and gravy. Nothing too complicated. We are advised through the speaker to pull to Lane B, where we were approached by an employee to pay. I paid using Apple Pay and then he walks away- never gives me a receipt by the way. We are waiting a while, so long that my son who has headphones in, pulls them out of his ears and says, "Why are we still here?" I say, good question, and get out of the vehicle and make my way inside the restaurant. As I am walking, a lady in a white Mercedes SUV has her window rolled down and I turn to her and say, "This is ridiculous. I am going inside to see what is going on!" She replies back stating she has been waiting a long time too. I go inside and am at the counter and ask for a manager. A manager comes out, and I express my frustration and why it's taken almost 30 minutes to get me 1 meal?! Behind him I see part of the kitchen staff employees working with zero sense of urgency or any care in the world that there are people WAITING! The manager asks for my name and then comes back with a bag with a receipt attached to it with my name. I open the bag and say, "This isn't even my order!" Hand it back to him and then ask him where is my drink?" He walks off back into the kitchen and a guest seated at a table with two kids turns to me and says that she had to wait a long time for her order as well and horrible of an experience she had. Then the manager comes back, hand me my bag which appears to have the chicken strip box in it, and then I say, "Where's my drink?" ...You know what, I want my food, but I shouldn't have to pay for this. You are going to make me late to work!...
Unfortunately there is more to this, but Google won't let me complete the full experience here so I will be reaching out...
Read moreWhen my household of 5 arrived the restaurant was empty except for 3 employees sitting at a table in the corner talking and laughing very loudly and were not wearing masks (I am not the mask police and normally do not care - your choice - but I was irritated about it before the conclusion of our visit). We were greeted by a friendly cashier who answered our questions (our first visit to a whataburger). As we finished placing our order and went to the fountain drink stand the employees that were sitting in the corner dump a large drink all over the table and in the floor. They laugh about it and leave the restaurant and never attempted to clean it up. It was more than 30 minutes before anyone came to clean any of the tables. The guy who finally did come clean tables just sprayed the half melted ice and soda and wipes it off straight into the floor and leaves. The nice cashier comes over and sweeps up the ice and never gets a mop to try to clean it up, which may explain why the entire floor in the restaurant was sticky. But anyway my family of 5 were sitting at a table for four and the table for two next to it. And yes it did have a sign saying to skip that table but we didn't think that moving a chair would be appropriate either. And no one else was in the middle section of the restaurant where we were sitting. When the, what I think was the manager - because he was wearing a nice long sleeve button down shirt, brought out our food and made the two sitting at the side table with the sign move a table over. When I tried to explain that we all live in the same house he said "I don't care it is a city ordinance that no one can sit at this table! Not but a few minutes later a ton of kids flood in from a ball game or something. They sit on the other side of the wall from us. They say like we did and he came and got onto them for the same thing, but they just moved chairs to the same table. So they had a table of 6, a table of 7 but they weren't at the tables marked. I thought when he brings more food he will say something. He came and went and said nothing. If you have a rule and make some follow it them make everyone. The were not even of the same household and were allowed to sit together, but my family couldn't. I was not pleased with...
Read moreI placed an order for two egg and cheese biscuits via the mobile app. Pretty much the most basic breakfast order you could have.
I picked it up via the drivethru, and my wife opened the order to find they put sausage in it. So then I had to park and go inside for what should have been quick. The guy who handed me my order in the drivethru looked at me twice without so much as acknowledging so I had to just interrupt him. He took the bag with the wrong order and said they'll remake it.
Literally 15 minutes passed, and I'm still waiting. I asked someone else who then went to check. A few mins later he came back with the order. Before leaving the store I checked the order again, turns out all they did was remove the "Sausage" sticker but there's still sausage on them. Basically just handed me back the same order. Let's THINK critically guys, why would you remake the exact same order?
Then, the guy says it shows up with sausage on their side that's why they made it that way. My receipt clearly does not show that, nor did the receipt taped to the bag that was originally handed to me in the drive thru. A few secs later I hear another worker yell at the lady who "remade" my order saying "it doesn't say sausage!". 4 more mins pass and they finally hand me another bag (which of course I have to check since they clearly are incompetent).
All in all, took literally 30 minutes to get a super simple order of 2 egg and cheese biscuits, that they had to remake twice, because this store is run...
