Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Fruitland

I brought my girlfriend here because the other steak place had an hour waiting time. It was her birthday. Firstly, there was no hostess or waitress to meet us at the door and we were left standing for several minutes unattended as several employees walked past us. We told our waitress, when she complimented or attire and asked what the occasion was, that it was my girlfriends birthday. That was the best part of our experience here, the complimented attire. We both ordered sweet tea. She got unsweetened. Appetizers came out with the main course instead of before. The utensils were plastic because, quote "nobody had washed the silverware" so my girlfriend couldn't get a knife for the steak she ordered. She ordered the steak medium but it came so rare that the fatty tissue was still slimy. The second steak she was offered was thinner, smaller, and just as undercooked. And she necessary for the steak sauce she asked several times for. I ordered the blackened BBQ ribs in a trio dish. They were dry and hard with just a dab of BBQ sauce. The shrimp was overcooked and hard. The waitress asked if my girlfriend would like a birthday dessert to which she replied "Yes" and ordered a dessert she wanted since first looking over the menu. That never came. When I stood up to look for the waitress, she was sitting at the bar on her phone. When she did make it back to the table, she had our bill in hand without a dessert on it. It was at that time I learned that, despite being told our entrees came with sides, we were charged for sides. The whole time, there were some routy guys at the bar yelling and carrying on like they were at a sports bar. And, even though we were seated somewhat away from them, every time someone opened the main doors we were blasted with cold, damp wind. It was the worse sit down restaurant experience we've ever had for $100. 0...

We have been going to this location nearly every week for close to 2 years now, but no more. We understand that sexual identity cannot be discriminated against and we had one person who waited on us several times and we still dont know if they were male or female. However, this person was courteous and professional and was more interested in taking care of us than imposing their lifestyle on us. This week an apparent man trying to be a woman came to wait on us. His actions and speaking made us feel like we were at a drag queen event, not a restaurant. To top it off, he kept flipping his 4 feet of fake hair which we didn't want in our food. When we asked for someone else he made a big deal about moving us to another section as if the other waitress couldn't walk 10 ft. We could tell with the attitude that we could no longer trust what would happen to our food in the back. We have had our own business for years and I've managed large companies. As a customer, it's supposed to be about my wife and my experience. It is NOT supposed to be about someone pushing or imposing their chosen lifestyle on the customer. We never asked to be moved because someone was trans, we asked for someone else because of the actions of the person. When we got up to move, we just kept walking, out the door. We live between the Fruitland.location and the Milford location, looks like we will be heading north...

Elle is an amazing Waitress/server!!! She is extremely friendly and attentive to all her tables! Just having a conversation with her was very pleasant! This is now the second or third time my boyfriend and I have been there and have been lucky to be in her section. The restaurant was clean and everything was delicious. I got the shrimp platter with the Endless Salad bar. The salad bar was stocked with fresh veggies and more. I always get the salad bar because it is so yummy! My boyfriend got the Meaty pasta Penne and it was delicious and a HUGE portion. I normally do not care for sausage, especially in pasta, but it was very good and enough to take home. Elle even offered us cups to take our drinks home too, which I thought was the sweetest thing. I have never been offered that in any restaurant before and it was a great surprise. That raspberry tea is so good so she made my day when she gave me a full cup of tea to bring home instead of what was left in my cup. Thank you Elle for your excellent customer service! We will be back and I sure hope we are in your section. I hope the managers and cooperate see this review and do something nice/extra for you Elle!!! Keep up the great work and keep that smile...
