Iced matcha latte: Tastes like sweet milk with touch of grass, a bit gritty. Light green color so not very matchaey
This time an hot beverage i tried the orange mocha since it was unique. Every drink it seems they put whip cream! Maybe it’s to cover up the quality of their drinks are by masking it with tasty whip cream..that’s my theory lol. At first sip it was good! Whipped cream with a nice orange chocolate like the terry chocolate taste. But the more I drank it, the more the initial taste went away and it just tasted like a hot chocolate from those packets with water. Maybe at best milk.
Update: tried the iced caramel macchiato and it just tasted like milk with instant coffee flavor which is weird since I see them use fresh beans for espresso. As you can see in the picture, it’s not like Starbucks with the layers. They said it was their popular drink but I couldn’t finish it and I love coffee🤷♀️
Initial review: I got an iced chai since I saw two reviews on here say it was good. Well idk how their tastebuds are but to me it tasted like it was made from the Oregon chai powder. I think they use powder because my first sip out of a mini red stir straw lol I forgot to ask for a straw, (do they not give straws automatically?)was lukewarm! Then I stirred it up and it became iced so all good. The cashier was friendly to all and asking how’s your first week going etc. I didn’t know there was a pick up window so I stayed there listening to her until another customer came to order and I asked where I get the drink and turns out there’s another side to wait at! Mind blown. Yea can you...
Read moreThis place has decent coffee but it's just as expensive as Starbucks. What I really didn't appreciate was hearing the owner and other individuals making obscene, racist jokes in the morning while I was waiting for my coffee. If you're wondering why you haven't seen me in over a year, that's the reason. I've got better things to do than give money to someone who thinks it's appropriate or funny to crack jokes about negative racial stereotypes and make homophobic comments at a place of business. It's not cool, it made me feel uncomfortable and I haven't had the desire to go back since.
2025 Update: It has been over 8 years and I STILL have not been back. I don't forgive racism or homophobia for any business, big or small and in our current socioeconomic and political climate it's more important than ever to reaffirm that stance. Here's to 8 more years of NOT patronizing this business, if it's even around...
Read moreEverything is way cheaper than it is at Starbucks as an example the largest size here is 4oz bigger than the largest at Starbucks and costs 50 cents less. You can bring your own coffee cup of any size here and get it filled for only $2.25. The line is usually long but the workers work very fast so the line feels really short. Their pastries are also way bigger and cheaper than those at Starbucks. It’s in a convenient spot for campus students and you don’t have to be a student to order here. Overall it’s...
