El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Fullerton

This location takes forever for fast food restaurant to call your food for dine in . Went there in about dinner time all tables were filthy barely any were clean to say it, I started coughing and as I was talking to the cashier and he didn’t even offer me a cup of water to clear my throat . extremely prejudiced against white people at this location. When my order came up none of the employees called my number my chicken was too hot, small scooping of sides . I had to ask for utensils Nobody here speaks English or if they do they refused to acknowledge that you’re standing there trying to ask for assistance. It wasn’t even busy in the drive-through when I had received my dinner. Even the manager completely ignored me and didn’t apologize for her employees ignoring me. The cashier purposely didn’t let my order go through so I kept continuously choking he also refused to give me my cup, so I can get a drink while the order was going through. My broccoli was cold my food had been sitting out long enough to accumulate flies it’s a bad set up you cannot see your food when you’re sitting in the dining area due to the where the drink stand is. I do not recommend anybody going to this location for dine in. Or to even eat here feeling totally disrespected is not appropriate for an establishment that works with customer service. If you eat here you might want to take your business somewhere else it’s not...

We were a party of 7 to eat there at the restaurant. I ordered the 16 piece mixed & 3 large sides. Tables are dirty & have to ask to get them cleaned. Tables left all wet. They wouldn’t dry so need to ask for napkins to dry off table tops. After getting our food fresh and hot. How are we supposed to eat with no plates or utensils provided or offered to us? So up to the counter again to ask. I have to ask for napkins because they won’t give to you unless you specifically ask. I ask for spoons to be able to serve the sides. No spoons. How the heck were we going to serve the sides? Have you ever felt the container of beans how hot it is? It proved challenging to serve the sides, especially the rice & beans with a fork or pouring without burning yourself or splashing & hoping the rice or beans doesn’t come out all at once. I learned something for next time if there is a next time (which I doubt) to this EPL or any other; I will always ask before ordering if they have spoons. No spoons, no order. Go some place else. Came to try the new shredded beef Birria Tacos that's available to El Pollo Loco reward members! Sneak peak I guess.

Got the 2 taco Birria meal which comes with 2 beef Birria tacos, consumé dipping sauce, tortilla chips, and salsa. Drink not included. Meal is $8.29 which I find a bit pricey but that's the cost of trying something new!

It was pretty good for a fast food place. The shredded beef was tender and flavorful. The taco was deep fried like how they do it with Jack in the Box tacos. The consumé dip was a bit salty but still paired very well with the tacos. I recommend trying it! I wish I would have gotten the stuffed quesadilla instead though but I chose tacos as that's the classic traditional way to have Birria. Will try Birria quesadilla next time
