Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Fullerton

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I might as well had eaten out of a dumpster!! MORE THAN A 45-MIN WAIT TOO!

FIRST, IT TOOK OVER 20 MINUTES TO TAKE MY ORDER! Several cars gone through the drive thru as I sat in my car just waiting.

SECOND, IT TOOK ABOUT ANOTHER 25 MINUTES TO GET MY FOOD!! The food was NEVER brought to me, I had to go to the Employee Entrance to ask about my order. AGAIN... Several more cars gone through the drive thru.

THIRD, THE EMPLOYEES HADN'T COMPLETED MY ORDER (2-Grill Chicken Club Sandwich Combos w/Tots, med.sz. 1-Slushy & 1-Shake)!!! I had to wait another 5+ minutes for an INCOMPLETE order.

FOURTH, THE SHAKE WAS WATERY AND WAS MISSING THE SLUSHY THAT I PAID FOR!!!! When I asked, "where's my slushy?" I was told "the machine isn't working." Then, when the heck was I going to be told this, and I wasn't going to be given a drink or refund!? Again, after waiting for over 45 minutes.

FIFTH, THE FOOD WAS ALL THROWN INTO ONE BAG (not brought to me as part of the car hop SDI experience) AND ICE COLD!!!!! When I told the supervisor about the cold food, he just stood there looking at me confused/dumbfounded.

SIXTH, I HAD TO DEMAND FOR A REFUND (and by now, I'm starving)!!!!!! The supervisor (still looking baffled) says, "I don't understand, do you want your money back or the food?" I deserve to have both - why is that even questionable!?

SEVENTH, THE FOOD WAS THROWN TOGETHER!!!!!!! There was NO BACON, TOMATOES, MAYO, and more as ordered and paid for! Remember, I ordered two "Chicken Club Sandwich" combos. My chicken was petrified - dry, rubbery, thin, and old - it was a bun with a few shreds of lettuce (in the wrapper only), and supposedly a grilled chicken breast. The second order, thrown together not much differently from the other....I HAD TO THROW AWAY WHAT WAS A POORLY MADE, PATHETIC, FAINT RESEMBLANCE OF FOOD!!

Finally, more than an hour passed from the start to exit. AND STILL, NO FOOD!!

BTW, did I mention that this was my mom and I FIRST SDI EXPERIENCE!? AND, we live an entire County North of SDI... FIRST AND LAST, THANKS OC!!!

THANK YOU SONIC DRIVE-IN (SDI) for an AWESOME TRIFLING FOOD EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE - even when you tried to give me food poisoning!! 😉 😤 I won't ever trust your TV commercials again....

It was about 1130 am when I arrived. There were a few other cars and a couple people in the patio area. I drove into the stall and saw I could use an app to order and save money on drinks. So I downloaded the app and made my order. It asked me for the stall number and I could not find it anywhere or on any other stalls either. So I pushed the red button and told the employee who answered that I made an order thru the app but could not find the stall number. She asked what name the order was under and I told her. I sat there for at least twenty minutes. I went up to the "employee only" door and someone came out. I told them I was waiting a long time and I had used the app. She said immediately I don't think we got the order but I'll check. She went back in and came out with the food and said we couldn't find the car. I told her I had pushed the red button and let them know I couldn't find a stall number. She said I'm sorry about that. There was a group in the patio had the same issue with not getting their order. I was kind of irritated that they didn't even try to find me and made the mistake of not double checking all my items. I was missing the fudge sundaes, they were what I was the most excited for. I realized at my job and didn't want to go back to a mess. There were several employees inside the store and there wasn't a lunch rush yet. I called their customer service to attempt to get a refund for the missing items. After 30 minutes on the phone all they would give me was coupons. I do not want to go back though. I even tried to get refunded by emailing the corporate office. Same thing- coupons. The food received was pretty good But it's not worth being completely forgotten and having your food just sit. I've had 2 poor experiences at Sonic and now I can't get the money back for the items I did not get. It's...

Usually I like Sonic, but for some reason tonight was exceptionally awful

I ordered a pretzel dog with cheese and bacon, which was okay

But the sole reason I actually went there, was because I wanted a blue raspberry nerds slushie, I got the slushie, but there are no nerds in it! i'm finishing it right now hoping maybe they're all caught somewhere in the middle and it wasn't blended or something, but i'm losing faith as i get closer to the bottom of the cup and still see and taste NO NERDS!

My girlfriend wanted tater tots and a grilled cheese, I told her the tater tots are bomb, because they usually are, and i told her additionally, you really can't mess up grilled cheese.

Well now my girlfriend thinks i'm an idiot, because the tater tots were unsalted and not hot, and the grilled cheese was straight up slightly melted american cheese between two squishy ass pieces of NOT HOT white bread, so basically a kind of melted cheese sandwich, definitely no grilled in there, no butter on the outside of the bread, like how do you even do that...

it's like ordering a cheese burger and getting a mcchicken, just bland and not quite right.

So now my girlfriend is making me sit through the drive thru at the mcdonalds across the street, which is terrible to ever go to since it's way too damn small for the amount of people that want to go there, thanks to the in n out across from it not having a drive thru and the other nearby restaurants being expensive and not that good
