Juicyladas Cantina — Restaurant in Fullerton

Giving this 1 star solely so people know to avoid this place if they are expecting decent Mexican food. This place is not even close to deserving the current 4.6 rating.

I'll start with the menu. What kind of Mexican restaurant does not offer fajitas? They had maybe 4 actual Mexican food items but had pasta, steak, and burgers. I had the enchiladas verses. The sauce was okay in taste but overloaded in an attempt to hide what was underneath. They also decided to put pink pickled onions on the enchilada which did not improve the dish. I had to cover this with habanero sauce to get a remotely flavorful experience. The worst part was the chicken, which was dry and had 0 flavor. I get chicken can be hard to make, but then maybe offer enchilada with filling other than chicken or shrimp? Refried beans had an "off" taste but were edible. The rice was dry and tasted similar to grains of sand. How do you mess up rice and beans? I don't know. But they did.

I question why I chose the enchiladas, but again the other menu items were not traditional, and have a good feeling I would have just been unpleased getting anything else other than maybe the steak.

Despite the joke of a food offering. The service was decent (granted there was more staff than customers) and the mango margarita was good, but I wouldn't say great for the price of $15. I give this place maybe 18 months unless they can get some better food or just...

Gosh, where do I start!? Our party/family had the pleasure of meeting Jacob and Vanessa who answered all our questions and provided out of this world hospitality. Jacob really gave us a whole tour of the restaurants come up and events they've hosted, events to come and on booking the VIP lounge. Vanessa was extremely sweet, her service was fast and friendly! THE FOOD....guaranteed to knock your socks off! My goodness 🤯 We had the carne asada deluxe and the asada was cooked to freaking perfection 🔥👌 it was flavorful, it was juicy, it was tender, IT WAS EVERYTHING. We also had the chilaquiles and the sauce was so bursting with flavor. The breakfast burrito was a hit with my son and it was huge n' loaded! Presentation on the drinks was beautiful and all tasted SO great! I deeeeeeeeefinitely recommend the carne asada roll 🤤🤤🤤 OMG, they were so good and really creative twist on asada with sushi! Ariz is amazing! This place has a menu that is for foodies. Very different, out of the norm, delicious food. I tried the Chili Relleno Taco w/pork belly, the crispy shrimp taco and for the drink I had house Paloma base on her advice. The drink was amazing, the tacos were different but VERY much worth the try and delicious . I read reviews and noticed comments on the service. I would like to say the place wasn’t busy when I came but I did notice the “guys” working at the bar where I sat paid no attention to me when I walked in and no attention while I was sitting at the bar, which is fine I don’t need the attention, however they should treat and greet every customer the same. Luckily for me, Ariz took care of my order and made the proper recommendations for my food and made me feel at home, she recommended drinks and was very friendly and she influenced the 5 stars.
