El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Fullerton

I'm glad to see the owner is reading these reviews, commenting might actually bring a change. I have been supporting this location for many many years, I go here at least twice a week, if not more. A few things repeatedly frustrates me with the drive thru though. Many times it seems I have to repeat my order at least twice to get it read back correctly. When the cashier asked me "what can I get for you today", I would read off slowly my basic single Polo Bowl order along with tortilla and drink choice. Nine times out of ten I would be again asked "corn or flour?" and "what drink would you like?" I finally learned to just say the minimal and wait for the girl/guy to ask me each selection. I'm also always asked if I would like salsa. I don't like salsa so I always say "no thanks". Today when I get home I find that I again have the wrong tortillas and salsas that I'm just going to trash. There are times my order would come with two of each type of salsa. I don't know what those cost the restaurant but it seems like it is a missed opportunity to trim costs if customers pass on certain embellishments. Unfortunately, I wish I was exaggerating but this Pollo Loco has lost their customer service all around. I come here often during lunch. I usually love this place and eat here at least 3 time a week. I came on 3/27/2025 and ordered a street corn double pollo fit bowl combo. Online it states that it comes with drink chips and salsa. I only received the bowl. I told myself let me give them another chance but let me order through the app there is no way they can get it wrong. 3/28/2025 at 12:30pm I place my order. Not only did I not receive my order correctly. They did not include my Guacamole. I had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my order that was already done and placed way in advance. What's the point of ordering through the app? Also, their sodas are so bad! They need someone to go and fix those machines. I am sad to say this but I won't be coming back. And I REALLY loved it here. I am not sure what happened....

I have lived in Fullerton for 20 plus years. And never have had a good meal from Pollo loco at this Euclid location. Every time I get the chicken I always hope it will get better because this restaurant has a high turnover rate so I feel “well the last cooks were bad maybe the new ones will be better” NOPE! Never happens and never will. It is as if they over cook the undersized thin pieces till they are so dry they are difficult to eat. Yes I could drive over and take it back but when you are tired, hungry and dirty that’s the last thing you want to do is battle with these nimrod employees.
