Upon entry, first impressions: cute, bright, airy, modern aesthetics.
However, they could do without the long communal table and replace it with two top tables in order to accommodate those who come in and find that all seats are taken. Even the back room with the communal table was occupied -- not sure if this was a private meeting room or open for all. But if it is open to all, I just think space is wasted there. There should be more individual tables and chairs.
The menu has your typical coffee and teas as well as pour overs and specialty lattes, which we appreciate. When we saw pandan latte and coconut spiced latte, we were excited as these two things are not offered elsewhere. We ordered them both iced.
Unfortunately, the pandan latte tasted anything but. When we asked for more pandan syrup, it ended up sweetening the drink as opposed to giving it that pandan flavor. And I'm saying there was not even the slightest hint of pandan whatsoever. Hey, I'm Asian and I know what pandan tastes like.
The coconut spiced latte had a subtle coconut flavor, but no essence of housemade brown sugar syrup or cinnamon.
For a price tag of $5.95 and $6.50 + $1.00 for oat milk on the pandan latte, both drinks missed the mark. Perhaps they taste better hot? I have my doubts.
Also, they charge $1.00 for alt milk -- most shops charge only 50-75 cents, so we found this to be rather steep and unfair.
Free parking in a small lot is available.
Would I come back? Maybe. But certainly not in a hurry. There are a ton of independent coffee shops that I like to support whose drinks are spot on....
Read moreCute and aesthetic shop in Fullerton that's been pretty popular on social media lately. Decent amount of seating inside with 2 long tables and multiple 1-2 person circular tables. Wifi is solid but outlets may be an issue if you're planning on studying here for a bit. Parking outside in the small lot but when it gets busy, you may have to park in the adjacent shopping plaza lot.
I've been here twice now and got a non-coffee drink and a seasonal peppermint mocha drink. Both were pretty good but I'm sad that they charge $1 for alternative milk, especially when you're lactose-intolerant and relatively have no choice. I'd come back since it's close to my house but it's probably not a 1st choice for me and I wouldn't come from far unless you want to try it once for the vibes and pictures. It can also get really busy at times but seems like weekday early afternoons can be an okay time when there's still a good amount of...
Read moreCute coffee shop! You can study here as it is pretty quiet. They have a room in the back that has a community table that can seat up to 8 ish people.
Pandan Latte - yes it’s brown. Not green. The cashier will inform you of why. Had it with oatmilk and it tasted more of a coffee than I’d expect. The flavor was good though. There’s a slight taste of pandan. I’d give it 7/10
Genji matcha latte- it’s okay. It’s not surprisingly good. It’s pretty much what you’d expect. The amount of ice was a bit crazy for me as they fill up the entire cup with ice first then pour the matcha on top. It also did not fill the cup. 7/10
Pastries were sold out in the PM. Apparently they get a fresh batch delivered in the morning. And it...
