The owner was very kind and generous during their soft opening this weekend. We weren't officially invited to the soft opening; I had only known about the opening because we were getting dinner next door. When we walked in that evening to look at the menu the owners were very welcoming, inviting, and open to pur questions. We left knowing we had to come back the next day to try their flat bread and drinks. For us this was a 10/10 experience and i can't wait to come back.
We had the:
Habibi House Latte Ordered iced with oat milk. At first sip i was in love with this latte. The latte is silky smooth and creamy which I really appreciate. I find places like Starbucks make their lattes too "thin" and I miss out on a the nice velvety creamy texture of a latte. The espresso is done with precision and feels very full, not over drawn. The cinnamon and cardamom cold foam compliment the espresso really well I wouldn't change a thing!
The Passion Fruit Matcha Latte: Ordered ice with oat milk. The passion fruit matcha latte is balanced well allowing both the passion fruit and matcha to be present on the pallet. I wouldn't a change a thing!
Basterma Flat Bread: Ordered as is. The choice of Flatbread is everything I like from a flatbread. Its got some puffy portions, full of flavor on its own, and cooks well without being burnt/blackened on the bottom. It was covered in fresh arugula, cherry tomatoes, a tasty and sweet pomegranate drizzle. With the star of the show being the savory Basterma. I wouldn't...
Read moreI’ve come here twice now, both times the lovely staff have been so friendly, helpful, and attentive.
I was undecided on a few things and it’s clear that the folks who work here take a lot of pride in their work and personally drink what they serve, because their recommendation of the date latte smashed it out of the park!
Cannot speak enough about their wonderful hospitality and empathy. Most recently we sat outside on a 95 degree day, and the staff checked up on us a few times, made sure we were good and asked if we needed any ice water or anything to accompany our drinks, which I would be hard pressed to find at any other LA coffee shop.
Their passion for coffee and love for their customers really shines through out of any chai spot I’ve been in SoCal- a review won’t do it justice, you just have to go here and see it for yourself.
The karak chai and their signature lattes are to die for- each latte is crafted with so much care, and balance the richness, smoothness, and flavor perfectly.
Vibes inside are also very nice, the location is clean, modern, lively, and is a perfect spot to bring your family or enjoy on a late night out...
Read moreAs a big coffee and matcha connoisseur, I’m always looking for spots that stand out, and Habibi’s is definitely one I’ll keep coming back to. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so warmly. The hospitality honestly reminded me of back home, and that just makes the whole experience better.
Even though they’ve only been open for a week, they already have a good rhythm going. It’s also a Muslim owned business, which makes me love supporting them even more.
Their menu isn’t your typical coffee shop lineup. Every flavor combo is so unique and so good. We ordered a flat white, iced orange blossom matcha, and a passion fruit matcha. One of the drinks wasn’t exactly to our liking at first, and they happily remade it with no problem. That kind of customer service is rare and super appreciated.
We were also served manaeesh on the house, and it was actually good. You can really taste the quality in everything. On top of that, their prices are super reasonable.
If you’re into coffee or matcha, this place is definitely worth a visit. You’ll def feel welcomed and...
