As one of the few places to eat in the town of Fulshear, one would think service mattered. As regular WEEKLY customers on Wednesday's we have been going here for almost a year since we moved in across the street. As of lately the service and lack of integrity is going down hill and down hill fast. What started as a regular family night of about 6 of us has turned into a weekly event with the neighbors of about 10 or more, same waiter (Jose) as a request every week. The first issue for the last 3-4 weeks has been poor almost nonexistent AC, with temperatures causing sweating inside. After placing calls to Victor (Manager) and asking in person, being told they do not know when it will be working, with no care what so ever or sense or urgency to make it comfortable. As this was not acceptable, I was able to reach Juan Carlos Garcia (Owner from my understanding) at the new location on Grand Parkway. He said the issue has been known for over a YEAR, I am sure they have had some bad AC people not treat them properly, and currently working with Engineers and Architects to come up with a viable solution, but NO timeline for actually making it comfortable again. So, we took a couple weeks off, decided to give it a go again last night 07.27.2016. Arrived at 06:12PM to be exact, and had a party of 11, as usual Jose promptly greeted us, quickly took drink orders which he knows by heart and shortly there after food orders. 2-1 Fajitas the normal. 7:40PM rolled around and STILL NO food. By this time we had seen 3 tables be seated AFTER us, receive their food(Fajitas) and leave.. At this time I found the Manager(Victor), the one who was not pleasant the week before on the phone about the AC. Voiced my concern about our food and said how disappointed and unacceptable this was. He said he would check on it now. 15 min later our food arrives just prior to 8PM, 1 hour and 45 min after arriving. This has NEVER happened before this night. Fajitas arrive, had to ask 3 separate people for plates and tortillas, another 5 minutes pass as our food is sitting there but nobody can each as we have not plates or tortillas. Another guest in our party got up to speak with Victor, expressed the unpleasant experience. We ask for our check, 15 min later, no checks, waiter (Jose') has to come back around and ask what everyone had again (leaves us to the quick conclusion) our ticket was never put in. Get check, pay bill, approach Victor again. I expressed how disappointed I was that as the manager he NEVER came to apologize for the mix up, never owned up to the mistake for the restaurant or staff or horrible service we received, and had a smirk on his face that respectable and honorable manager should NOT have, indicating he really didnt a rats a$$ about anything that happened tonight. So, needless to say could not be more upset about a horrible experience and complete lack of integrity on the entire staff last night. This place better change and better change quick, Victor is not a suitable manager and has no care for the customer based off our interactions with him the last...

Read moreUnfortunately, Victor's is just another low end Mexican place among the thousands in the greater Houston area. As other reviewers have said, the prices are high for the amount of food you get and the quality and service don't make up for it. I ordered a plate with a cheese enchilada, which was about four inches long, a tamale, just as tiny, and a crispy taco. It came with a tea spoon sized scoop of rice and a small bowl of beans. The beans were good and tasty, but those were probably from a can. The rest of the plate had no flavor at all. Just bland, ordinary Mexican food. The place had about four tables of people in total at prime dinner hours, which should have been our first indication that perhaps the food wasn't the best. Even so, service was slow. I think one waiter was assigned to the entire place. Drink refills were very slow, as were refills on the chips and salsa. Our low energy waiter didn't tell us about the kids eat free deal on Mondays. We noticed it for ourselves and had to ask about it. A well trained waiter would have led with that, seeing as we had a young child with us. The menu is hard to read with 50% of it dedicated to alcohol, which is excessive. It has some interesting, uncommon items on it, such as quail, but who's going to pay $30 dollars for it? Overall, this place gives off the all too familiar vibe of "we raised prices and decreased food portions while laying off staff" in order to survive. It's a formula that could work...if the food was worth the...
