Hardee’s — Restaurant in Fultondale

My husband was eating lunch here regularly! I would often meet him there for lunch! I loved the atmosphere, service, and food! However, today on 8/14/25, my husband was eating lunch and a young man began to refill the ice dispenser! He forgot to remove the lid, so he poured ice on the lid. He then proceeded to remove the lid, but instead of throwing the ice away that came in contact with the dirty dusty lid, he dumped it in the ice dispenser! I would have reported that to the manager, but she was sitting right there and watched him do it! My husband stopped eating his sandwich, threw it away and left. We absolutely will not be returning! Very very rude customer service. I don’t fault the young lady who took my order. She was the only person in drive thru and up front taking orders and making drinks. I received a half empty cup of milk shake after waiting for almost 10mins in the drive thru. I parked and came inside to speak with management. Instead of her apologizing from the minute I showed her the cup. She says oh it melted. NO It was never filled to the line it was supposed to be at & yes I took pics she was very rude about it didn’t offer to remake it so yes I requested a full refund. This location is doing it right. My wife and I stayed at the Home 2 Suits in Fultondale last night and visited Hardees the following morning. I was more than impressed with the entire experience compared to the norm of today's fast food establishments. The front lady running the register knew most of the customers by name and was very pleasant to deal with. The location was kept clean and get this... not one curse word was heard from the staff or not even one argument was witnessed within the staff. We were gonna do the drive thru his morning and we are both glad with the choice to sit in and have breakfast at this location.
