If you are looking for a place to take your toddler or your child under seven, to play this is the place to go! Let’s start with the staff. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Molly Rae who took the time to tell me all about my options. There were kids and parents when I arrived and everyone seemed to have fun. I purchased a pass for my cousin and her daughter and they went today and enjoyed every minute.
The Playcenter offers drinks for purchase as well as small snacks. They also have grip socks if you decide to walk in and your child doesn’t have any. Note that an adult will need to be with the kids and the adult will need to have on socks but they don’t have to be grip socks. Since they go up to 7 years old, there is dedicated space for children under 2 or smaller children who want to play. They even have T-shirt’s for sale and can print while you are there. But check with Paige (the owner) first.
Lastly if you are looking for a place to have a party you can do so here. I think it’s on Sundays only BUT check with Paige to be sure. Oh and no, I don’t...
Read moreWe visited Toddler Town the first Saturday it was open! I’m glad there’s a place like this on this side of the Birmingham area now. It’s akin to a little kid version of Let’s Play. Definitely most appropriate for younger kids- infants up to age 4-5 I would say. It’s a relatively small space, but still fun. Definitely made me feel less uneasy of losing track of my child than places like Let’s Play. There was a birthday party happening while we were there. The only downside of it being small was that I kind of felt like we were intruding since the people attending the party were in most areas (sitting and standing areas for adults.) If you’re thinking of having a party here, they have a small room for that. It’s definitely really small though- big enough to fit a table for food and gifts and a table probably just for the kids. There wouldn’t be room for more than more than 6-8 people in the room- the rest would have to spill out into the play area. So definitely not a place for a huge birthday party. But all in all we had fun and will be...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING. It’s as good as Disney for toddlers, and not even a tenth of the price. So many fun toys, puzzles, slides, climbing sets, etc. Our 14-month-old was smiling and laughing the whole time she was there!! I loved how everything was soft play for her - even down to the floor, so her knees didn’t get beat up when she crawled around. It was also great to have a fun, safe environment to introduce her to playing with other kids her age. I also was glad that I never felt uncomfortable with her playing in the main area with the slightly older kids - but even if I had felt uncomfortable, there was a good-sized “under two” section that had just as many fun toys! Our little girl loved playing in both areas! Everything looked very clean as well, and I appreciated the sanitation wipes and/or bins for toys that end up in someone’s mouth - we definitely had to use those a couple times lol. Altogether, this place rocks, and we’ll...
