In the past this place has been fine. Which is why I was content on eating dinner here last night with my family. 7 adults and 1 child. The staff did a fine job seating us in a room off to the side. Our waitress did the best to her ability to assure we had what we needed, the drinks took a while considering they weren’t busy, though that was minuscule compared to what happened. The food came out in a timely manner, all dishes except for one. We were informed it would be right out, so we all waited before touching our plates. It took at least ten minutes for the final dish to come out, that’s not an exaggeration. When the dish (calzone) was set on the table our waitress asked how everything tasted, not realizing we hadn’t touched our food. As my mother and brother begin working on their dish, they realized it wasn’t even cooked all the way. The calzone was still raw with batter on the inside. After about 10 minutes past. My brother went to notify our server that the food was undercooked. She came back puzzled and asked if we were sure that the food was undercooked. I’m sorry but the customer should not be questioned. The server took the plate off of the table and offered to have it remade. With us all knowing very well that it was going to take an extreme amount of time considering the previous. Nothing was brought out for my mother and brother to snack on while they waited. It was rather awkward for the rest of us to sit there with our food while they remained plateless. My brother ended up needing to leave for a meeting and was unable to eat dinner. To go boxes were brought out for the rest of us and we boxed up our lesftovers. And then finally the calzone was brought out. We asked for a box, at this point my mother did not want to sit and eat her dinner while we waited. The server ran the credit card and came back with the papers to sign. That is when we noticed the calzone was not taken off of the bill. We asked her to please be take it off, she told us that because the manager is not working it cannot be taken off. We then brought the issue to another server who said that because we were taking the item home she could not refund us. Very awkward to be told that. We arnt looking to get free food out of this place. We just wanted the right thing to have been done and to not be criticized for it. Our bill was close to $200. It’s not about the money it’s about the customer service. My issue is not with our server. It is with the young lady who was acting as manager while the manager was not available. Kindness goes a long way, especially in...
Read moreThis was the most disappointing lunch that I've had in quite awhile. First of all, it took forever to order. People who came in after us, placed their order before us (and had a different server). The hostess sat all customers at adjacent tables, leaving 3/4 of the restaurant empty. Even forgetting about Covid, it would have been nice to separate people a little. My husband and I split the philly cheesesteak. The sandwich came with no onions. We called over the waitress and showed her the sandwich and she went back to speak with the cook. Then she came back and said "He said he put onions on the sandwich." Um...we had just shown her the sandwich after she'd put it on the table. Did she think we'd picked them off and shoved them in our mouths that quickly? So we once again took apart the sandwich and asked where they were and she pointed to the underside of the bun which had, what we thought, was butter before the bread was heated. She said she thought that was the onions and the cook had cooked them so much that they had become mush and soaked into the bread. What?!?! And this is okay here? There was not one tangible onion on the sandwich. No offer to bring out some onions, which was all we really wanted. No offer to even remake the sandwich, call over a manager, or reduce the bill. We didn't eat the sandwich. By then it was a cold, unappetizing blob. The fried okra was good, however. We will never eat here again. Also, this place has some neat decor with pictures of music legends...why in the world were we forced to listen to 90s pop? I think we heard 3 Gwen Stefani songs in the 45 minutes or so that we were there. When we asked the waitress she said it was whatever the bartender wanted to listen to and that was his playlist. So don't visit Abbey Road and expect to hear the Beatles, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, or any of the greats. Prepare yourself for Christina Aguilera and the like. My advice, skip the bad food and the bad music and...
Read moreThe wife and I went to this location for the first time. I ordered the Fish and Chips and she had a Lamb Gyro with a side salad. It was not busy but was steady. We ordered our drinks a draft beer and a bottle beer with one water. The water showed up but, the waitress had to go back to the bar for the beers. No problem but, we still did not get to order our appetiser. The waitress returned with the beers and asked us for our order. Started with the Spinich Artichoke dip and ordered our entrées at the same time. The Dip, love the fact that they serve it with both pita bread and tortilla chips. But, the dip itself was bland compared to others we have had. Our entrées were delivered to our table in haste by another waitress who promptly left. So, fish and chips no malt vinegar or catsup not even a question if I wanted either. The fish was over cooked but the fries tasted good and had a goid crisp and texture to them. My wife said the lamb was bland. Our wItress did not return to ask how was the food or if we needed anything else until we had finished eating, which at that point all I wanted was a check. I did see that a young boy had an accident with his drink and our waitress did go up to him to let him know it was alright and gave him a pen that he was interested in, while others came and mopped up the spill and placed wet floor signs up. So the two stars are for making the embarrassing situation for that young boy less embarrassing and making him feel better. And the fact that the fries were good. Word of advice though, if you serve Fish and Chips make sure your staff know that Malt vinegar is usually the condiment. Or at least catsup for the fries. Wife said we will never go back there again. There are better restaurants...
