I am in search of the best Crab Rangoon and Chicken Lo Main under a single roof. I thought I would give this place a try since I had not been there yet. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was their sanitation rating - 90.5! Gross, right? Look them up on the sanitation website and you really will see gross! Then I noticed a whole cardboard box of fried noodles sitting in a seat at a booth where a customer would normally sit. They were just in the box, no plastic, no paper towels, just in a random, old box. But I figured I took my vitamins this morning so I ordered anyway. I ordered with no problem and got my food quickly. I was sitting with my back to the counter and when my food was ready the guy at the counter called me Hey, Hey, Hey until I turned around. That was a turn off. I wasn't far from the counter and there wasn't anyone else in the place, he could have brought it to me or been a bit more civil - maybe it is a cultural thing - what do I know, I only speak one language... Now for the actual food: The Crab Rangoon was chewy instead of crunchy and VERY greasy - so one strike there. The next thing I tried was an egg roll. Nothing special, it was just fine, not great, not gross... Next was the Chicken Lo Main - again, gross! I look for several characteristics when judging Lo Main - texture from the ingredients used, sauce taste and chicken quality. The ingredients (other than noodles and chicken) were only mushy cabbage (and a lot of it!) mushy green onions, slivers of fibrous ginger and slivers of carrots, no mushrooms. The sauce was non-existent, I think they cooked everything in just water or maybe oil and water. As for the chicken quality, I picked not one, but two bones out of my mouth. Gross again! So there you have it, still on the search for the best Crab Rangoon and Chicken Lo Main under a single roof. BTW, China Uno has the best Crab Rangoon, if they would clean the grill (pan, wok, whatever) a bit more often they would have the best Lo Main too - as it is, the Lo Main tastes charred from being cooked with old...

I have been disappointed with the Asian food over here, because there was such a great selection where I came from. One of the perks from living in the Seattle area is that there is a large Asian population, so the demand for good Asian food is much higher than here in the Raleigh area. It was becoming quite disappointing to go to Asian restaurants here and have sub par food. I'm glad I found this place. Jumbo China reminds me of some of the good Asian take out places from where I grew up.
The pork fried rice was on the same level as the best pork fried rice I have had where I grew up.
The sesame chicken was very good. I have had better in Seattle, but not here in North Carolina. Plus it was better than my average experience taste wise in Seattle. So, while not as good as the pork fried rice, it was still delicious.
The egg roll... I'm not a fan of egg rolls, so I'm not the best at giving them a review. I have had better, but I would say they weren't bad, just average...
Understand that Sit down Asian restaurants are very different than take out restaurants... I don't rate a take out restaurants the same as a sit down one. Different factors are taken into account, and quite honestly I don't expect as high of quality due to them not being able to control when the food will be eaten vs a sit down restaurant having the food eaten immediately after it being made. things have to be made differently due to that being the case, so I'm only comparing it to other Chinese take out...
Read moreI have been a customer of this jumbo location for over 15 years, prior to the current owners. There have been a several occasions over the years that i have been given the wrong item or missing an item. I have never gone back to have issue corrected. However, recently i ordered shrimp fried rice and was given pork fried and decided to call to let them know i was coming back to get my item i ordered and paid for. Note shrimp fried rice cost more than pork fried rice. I got in an argument over the phone and when i arrived face to face she again questioned my order , as if i don't know what i ordered. After several minutes she then proceeded to tell me to give her the pork fried rice and she will then give me the shrimp fried rice. I advised, I had been inconvienced and i would not be doing an exchange .. the pork fried rice would suffice for my gas and time wasted having to drive back up to restaurant ( also what are you planning to do with the food) resale itđ¤.. the result was me threatening to call the police to get an order of shrimp fried that i had already paid for. The daughter who works front desk is smart and kind... her parents have no customer skills and act as if the customers are at fault when they screw up the order.. i love the taste of their food but will never order from them again I don't appreciate when a business feels i should be satisfied with whatever they decide to give me and feel that they can treat customers without...
