Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Gadsden

I'm from here but moved out of state a while back, but I still come back to visit family. Well this was my new spouse's first trip to Gadsden, so of course we had to come to Jack's! Nothing but high marks, as expected. Even when the drive thru is crazy busy, they still get you in and out faster than any other busy drive thru I've ever sat in. The order was correct and the food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The employees were smiling and super sweet and looked like they were having a good time (which if you've ever worked in fast food then you know how hard it can be on the emotions sometimes).

Jack's is still everything it always has been, since I was a kid in the 90s all the way up to now. I have literally NEVER had a bad experience at this location over the years. As busy as they stay (due to the falls being right there), they are still working miracles at this location on a DAILY basis, whether it's by the sheer number of orders they put out or just by the fact that they manage to always be smiling through the chaos.

Now, if you are reading through all the reviews, I'm just gonna say this: be wary of the bad reviews. People who treat fast food workers badly are usually the ones who have something negative to say about the places they go, and always without including how THEY treated the fast food staff. I'm just saying what every retail worker wishes they could say. The customer ISN'T always right, especially when they feel somehow entitled and don't know how to treat the hard working people who are just trying to get through the day and make their living.

To those negative people, and to the ones who are coming here thinking about saying something negative, I just want to remind you that it costs $0 to be kind! Especially in this years-long pandemic. You're fortunate they're even open at all. Be grateful. I know I am. :) KEEP UP THE GREAT...

Everything was hot and fresh. Can't go wrong with a big bacon and large fries with a large caramel iced coffee... This locations coffee was the best yet ,didn't taste old or stale as coffee can get after sitting for to long on a burner. My spouse had the big bacon no bun with green beans, green beans needed salt and pepper but he said it was good too. I was fixed a regular iced coffee at first but was fixed after mentioning it was supposed to be large. The large fry is where you lose the star. If you take a small fry and dump it out in a pile and then do the same with a large you don't get any more for paying extra as the large fry was the same amount of fries as the small (about approximately 10 fries) at least they were hot and freshly prepared. Didn't take long to get our order after placing. One tip would recommend not placing a barrel of ice cream with that much freezer burn on top of another with no lid on the bottom one just gross 🤢 had intended to purchase the new Expresso chocolate chunk shake but after seeing that had to take a hard pass. Restaurant was clean and staff...

I didn’t even want to leave one star. But I has to. It was the worst experience I’ve had in 40 years of my life . We got there at 8:15 . There was only 2 of us . At 8:50 we asked for a refund . Because we had never gotten our food . So many other customers was in their complaining . Their orders was messed is their food was nasty . The store was absolutely disgusting . The grill they was cooking on made me sick to my stomach when i saw it . The man fixing food was touching his face with no gloves on and fixing customers food. I’ve never on my life experienced anything like this . I will NEVER come back to this restaurant. Everyone needs to be let go and restart the whole crew . No one send a sense of urgency to fix anyone’s food or the problems . The manger there was mad because it was busy and she didn’t care about anything else going on. Worst experience of my life!!!
